숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향

Abstract

이 연구에서는 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.

연구문제 1. 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 사회성 발달에 어떤 영향을 미치는가? 1-1. 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 협동성에 어떤 영향을 미치는가? 1-2. 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 조망수용능력에 어떤 영향을 미치는가? 1-3. 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 자율성에 어떤 영향을 미치는가? 1-4. 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 상호작용에 어떤 영향을 미치는가?

이 연구는 사회성 발달을 측정하기 위해 숲에서의 자유놀이를 총 12주간 24회실시하여 김숙경(1988)이 우리나라의 실정에 맞게 재구성한 유아의 사회성 발달 도구를 사용하여 검사하였다. 연구결과를 위한 자료처리 분석은 방법으로는 Windows SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 활용한 통계처리를 통해 실험집단의 사회성 발달 검사 결과에 대한 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였고, 이 연구의 가설을 검증하기 위하여 사전-사후 검사 점수를 이용하여 실험집단의 차이를 대응표본 t검증을 하였다. 그리고 유아들이 숲에서의 자유놀이 변화과정을 참여관찰과 유아면담을 통해 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 사회성 발달을 향상시키는데 효과적이다. 둘째, 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 협동성을 향상시키는데 효과적이다. 셋째, 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 조망수용능력을 향상시키는데 효과적이다. 넷째, 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 자율성을 향상시키는데 효과적이다. 다섯째, 숲에서의 자유놀이가 유아의 상호작용을 향상시키는데 효과적이다.

따라서 이 연구는 인위적이지 않은 숲이라는 환경에서 유아의 흥미와 요구에 의해 자발적으로 자유놀이를 실시한다면 유아들의 사회성 발달에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 점을 시사해 주고 있다.

This study researched on the effect of free play in forest to the development of social ability of infant. For this following research problems were suggested. Research problem 1. What is the effect of free play in forest to the development of social ability of infant? Problem 1-1. What is the effect of free play in forest to the cooperativeness of infant? Problem 1-2. What is the effect of free play in forest to the acceptance of view of infant? Problem 1-3. What is the effect of free play in forest to the free will of infant? Problem 1-4. What is the effect of free play in forest to the interaction of infant?

To measure the development of social ability of infant, this study conducted test for 12 weeks, 24 times, according to the tool for the infant's social ability devised by Kim, Sook Kyeong(1988) which is proper to the Korean practice. For the data processing methodology, utilizing Windows SPSS 12.0 program, we have withdrawn the mean and standard deviation, to verify the hypothesis of this study, we have confirmed the difference of experiment group by t-test using the pre and post test scores.

The results are drawn as followed from this research. First, it is effective to improve the social ability of infant to free play in forest. Second, it is effective to improve the cooperativeness of infant to free play in forest. Third, it is effective to improve the acceptance of view of infant to free play in forest. Fourth, it is effective to improve the free will of infant to free play in forest. Fifth, it is effective to improve the interaction of infant to free play in forest.

Accordingly, this study suggest that if infants spontaneously play in forest not in synthetic but natural forest environment with their interest and need, it would bring important effect to the development of social ability.
