A Study on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Educare Teachers
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out relations between the job satisfaction and the turnover intention of educare teachers in Jeju Special Self -governing Province.
There are several specific research questions for such aim of study like following; first, Are there any difference in the job satisfaction and the turnover intention by general characteristics of educare teachers, secondly, Are there any difference in the job satisfaction and the turnover intention by working center characteristics of educare teachers, and thirdly, To investigate the influence of general, working center characteristics, and level of job satisfaction on turnover intention of educare teachers.
The sample population of this study is 350 educare teachers who working at private, corporate, and national or public etc educare centers in Jeju, the collected data has been analysed by frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis etc using the SPSS Win 12.0 program.
The results of this study are as follow.
Firstly, the individual characteristic variables of Age, marriage, education, years of experience etc were found as important variables have relation with the job satisfaction and the turnover intention of educare teachers.
Secondly, the work related characteristic variables of types of facility, location of facility, a pay level etc were found as important variables have relation with the job satisfaction and the turnover intention of educare teachers.
Thirdly, relationship with educare center director among the job satisfaction variables is the largest effective variable on the turnover intention of educare teachers. and the job itself variable is the second.
