Abstract

In the study, I intend to devise district units plan through the consideration on the control factors over district units landscape plan and through the analysis on the visual-perceptual features of a structure. I also aim to offer basic materials to search for a reasonable direction to build streetscape in structure design in terms of urban landscape with structures on the streets in district units plan area.

Firstly, it is desirable to avoid a long rectangular-horizontal shaped streetside which borders on a street. Since it directly affects the visual cover. A badly irregular-vertical shaped one is not proper, since it breaks the harmony and the unity of structures along the street lined with.

Secondly, we need to allocate an area into sections according to the inclinatory pitch, and the shape of a roof, such as a gable roof section, a bolt roof section, and a hip roof section. It is advisable to draw the harmony and the unity of structures in building streetscape in district units plan.

Thirdly, to build a desirable streetscape, it is important that the eaves of structures in a section should have the same height and that the structures should be equally situated back from the street border in order to form a front wall line.

Fourthly, it is also recommended that the structures, as an available landmark on the major knotting points or the beginning of a curve, should reflect the characteristics of the site and the regional traits to produce vital atmosphere. So, structures of the area demand dynamic and diverse structural design skills in structural aspects as well as in stereoscopic aspects.

In conclusion, we should consider structural design of structures on the street in all aspects of a building site, its height, and the lay out of a wall line rather than the regulation system and the personal propensity of a building owner and architect.
