피아노 기초교재 비교분석 및 사용 실태조사

Abstract

기초단계는 피아노를 치는 즐거움과 음악을 하고자 하는 욕구를 불러일으키고 기초를 북돋아 주는 시기이다. 이 시기에 생긴 음악적 개념의 형성에 따라 지속적인 교육의 여부가 달라질 수 있기 때문에 피아노 기초교육에 있어 교재의 선택은 중요하다 하겠다. 또한 새로운 교재가 쏟아져 나오는 현 시점에서 그 교재가 의도하는 바를 제대로 실현하고 있는지도 짚어보아야 할 문제다. 따라서 본 연구는 피아노 기초교재 비교 분석과 교재사용 실태를 통하여 교재 선택과 활용도에 있어 문제점을 알아보고 이에 대한 효과적인 활용방안을 모색하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 본 연구는 제주특별자치도내 제주시 지역의 피아노 지도교사 100명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 각각의 결과는 통계프로그램 SPSS 12.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과를 통하여 제주도내에서 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 두 교재를 선정하여 비교 분석하였다. 교재분석 결과 「세광 뉴 바이엘」은 기존의 바이엘과는 달리 '음정적 접근법'과󰡐가온 다(C) 접근법'을 사용하였으며, 빠른 성취감을 느낄만한 교재의 편성은 이 교재의 장점이라 할 수 있다. 그러나 제한된 음역의 사용, 단순한 손가락 중심의 테크닉, 보조 자료나 구체적 설명이 제시되지 않는 전개방법은 여전히 해결해야할 과제다. 반면「피아노 어드벤쳐」는 단계별로 레슨, 테크닉, 이론 및 청음, 연주 교재로 나뉘어 통합적인 형태로 개념을 이해하게 되어 있으며, 기초단계에서부터 아티큘레이션의 발달, 프레이징 구현, 페달링 등 다양한 피아노 기법에 대한 접근이 이루어지고 있다. 이때 제시되는 다양한 프로그램과 레퍼토리는 이 교재의 강점인 동시에 많은 교재 분량에 따른 성취도 · 비용상의 문제, 미국적인 레퍼토리 구성에서 오는 이질감 형성이라는 단점을 수반하고 있다. 실태조사 결과 교재사용은「바이엘」과「피아노 어드벤쳐」에 편중되어 있었고, 교재선택의 이유로는 '전체 교재의 구성과 전개 방법 분석을 통해', '세미나 교육을 통해', '학원실정에 맞는 내용 구성' 순이다. 이때 지도경력이 높을수록 교재선택에 더 노력을 기울이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교재의 내용 구성에 있어서는 대부분의 교사들은 독보력 향상에 가장 중점을 두고 있으며, 그 다음으로 음악성 개발 및 테크닉 향상을 비슷한 비중으로 다루고 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 레슨 이외의 기타활동에서는 이론수업에 상당한 비중을 두고 있었으며, 그 외의 청음, 감상, 창의적 수업에는 열의가 적은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 사용하도록 되어진 병행교재를 적절히 활용하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 교재는 각 과정에서 제시되는 개념과 전개방법에 있어 차이를 보이므로 교사는 교재를 선택함에 있어 편의상 일률적으로 선택하지 말고 아동의 능력과 상황을 고려하여 효과적으로 선택·활용할 수 있어야 하겠다. 그러기 위해서는 교재 선택권의 다양화, 교사의 교재 선정기준 확립, 학습 환경의 개선, 교사의 인식변화가 요구되며, 아울러 지속적인 교재연구를 통하여 교재의 활용도를 높이기 위한 연구가 다각적으로 이루어져야 하겠다.

Basic stage is period to arouse joy to play the piano and desire to try to do music and stimulate base. As continuous education may become different in accordance with the formation of musical concept which forms in this period, it can be said that choice of textbook is important in the basic education of piano. In addition, at present point of time when new textbooks pour out, whether the textbook is realizing what is intended right is question to have to count. Thus, this study aimed at examining points at issues in the choice and utilization degree of textbooks through comparative analysis of basic piano textbooks and actual using conditions of the textbooks and groping for effective application scheme for it. In this study, this researcher executed questionaire on 100 piano teachers at Jeju city in Jeju special self-governing province and analyzed each result by using statistical program, SPSS 12.0. This researcher made comparative analysis by choosing two piano textbooks being used universally in Jeju through the result. As the result of analysis of the textbook,「Sekwang New Bayer」used the intervallic approach and the middle C approach of unlike existing Bayer, and composition of the textbook to be able to feel fast achievement degree may be referred to as the merit of this textbook. But use of limited compass, simple technique centering around fingers, and unfolding method that auxiliary data or concrete explanation was not presented are subjects to have to be solved. On the contrary,「Piano Adventure」 is made, so that we may understand concept with integrated form, as it is being classified into lesson, technique, theory, listening to sound, and playing by stages, and approach for diverse piano techniques such as articulation development, praising realization, and pedaling etc. is being made from basic stage. Diverse program and repertoire to be presented at this time are strong point of this textbook, and they are accompanied by demerit to be heterogeneity formation to come from achievement degree to be based on much quantity of the textbook, question in expense, and American repertoire composition. As the result of the survey, use of textbook was preponderant to 「Bayer」and 「Piano Adventure」. And reason for the choice of textbook was in the order of 'through the analysis of composition and unfolding method of whole textbook', 'through seminar education' and 'composition of contents to be suitable for the real situation of institute'. In this case, it emerged that teachers concentrate efforts on the choice of textbook, as guidance career is high. In addition, in the composition of contents of textbook, most teachers are placing relative importance on the improvement of power to read sheet music, and it can be seen that they are handling musicality development and technique improvement with similar relative importance. In the other activity except lesson, they were placing considerable relative importance on theory lesson, and it emerged that enthusiasm is small in listening to sound, appreciation, and creative lesson. Especially, it emerged that they don't use parallel textbook to be made, so that they may use properly. As textbooks show difference in concept and unfolding method to be presented in each course, teacher should be able to choose and utilize textbook effectively in consideration of ability and situation of child without choosing uniformly for convenience sake in choosing textbook. For it, diversification of choice right of textbook, establishment of choice standard of textbook, improvement of study environment, and recognition change of teacher are required, and study for heightening the application degree of textbooks will have to be made multilaterally through continuous study of textbooks.
