Abstract
The ground is composed of various soils and the resistivity of the soil depends on many parameters. It depends on the type of soil and varies with distance as well as with depth. Especially soil resistivity of volcanic area is very high and it is difficult to acquire necessary grounding resistivity. Wenner 4-electrode method used most widely by the method to measure soil resistivity and the measured data with the Wenner method are apparent resistivities of the soil. Therefore, the soil model(ρ-α curve) can be analyzed easily from the measured apparent resistivity.
This paper introduces a method that can be used to decide the suitable grounding design effectively according to the 4-type soil models. This investigation is conducted on a simulated grounding design using CEDGS.
