Abstract

This thesis is a translation of the book「Release Your Brilliance」 by Simon T. Bailey.

This book provides insight to the readers on how to find their brilliance kept inside each of them by using a metaphor that all human are diamonds in a rough. The Four Cs-Clarity, Color, Cut, Carat-the factor that determine a diamond's quality, are represented as the steps of taking a personal transformation into a brilliant diamond. Clarity for seeking profound insight, Color for discovering your pure beliefs, Cut for taking bold action, and the final step Carat for deciding just how big a diamond you want to be. Interactive exercises found throughout the book such as Personal Appraisal, Diamond Polishing action steps, and true stories of Living Diamonds are tools that guide the readers to take a journey to finding and releasing their brilliance.

The author Simon T. Bailey is a writer and a motivational speaker who inspires individuals to take charge of themselves and transform their lives from the inside out. After struggling with his self-doubt as a young African American man throughout his earlier years, he found his gift for speaking in front of large crowd at the age of thirty two. Now he is a highly successful entrepreneur, respected family man and community leader. As a motivational speaker, he travels around the word to motivate people convincing each and every one of them can become brilliant as a diamond as long as you find what you excel at and what your heart desire.
