2007년 개정 3학년 음악과 교육과정 중 감상영역에 대한 이중언어교육 지도 방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 우리 사회에 점차적으로 강조되고 있는 영어 교육의 일환으로 2007년 개정 3학년 음악과 교육과정 중 감상활동 영역을 영어로 가르치는 이중언어교육(Bilingual Education) 지도 방안을 모색하는데 그 필요성과 목적을 두고 있다. 이에 따라 3학년 교육과정에 편성된 감상영역을 우리말과 영어를 동시에 사용하면서 지도하는 이중언어교육 교수․학습 지도안을 개발하여 제시하였으며 본 연구 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 이중언어교육을 위한 교수․학습 모형을 구안하였다. 음악을 가르치되 영어로 지도하는 것이 목적이므로 영어와 음악 학습이 동시에 이루어지도록 하는데 필요한 학습 요소 및 흐름을 정리하였다. 둘 째, 차시별 지도 영어 어휘 및 교실 영어 구문을 정리하였다. 각 감상활동별 학습 주제에 맞는 어휘를 추출하여 정리하였고 영어로 음악을 지도하기 위한 교실 영어 구문들을 학습의 흐름에 따라 분류하였다. 셋 째, 다양한 교수․학습 활동을 적용하였다. 스토리텔링 및 마인드 맵 등의 활동을 통해 영어 학습과 음악 감상 활동을 병행하여 지도할 수 있는 여러 가지 학습 활동을 제시하였다. 넷 째, 아동들의 영어 의사소통능력이 신장되도록 하였다. 실생활에서 자주 사용할 수 있는 영어 표현들을 반복하여 사용함으로써 기본적인 의사소통 능력을 시장시킬 수 있도록 함과 동시에 자신의 생각이나 느낌을 영어로 표현해보는 활동을 통해 보다 심화되고 깊이 있는 영어 표현 능력을 갖출 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 교사들은 음악 감상영역을 영어로 가르치는데 필요한 어휘 및 교실 영어 구문을 참고하여 사용할 수 있으며 영어로 음악을 지도하는 것에 대한 부담감을 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 또한 아동들은 음악을 듣고 자신의 생각이나 느낌을 영어로 반복적으로 표현해보는 기회를 통해 영어 표현 및 이해 능력뿐만 아니라 영어 사용에 대한 자신감 및 의사소통능력이 신장될 수 있을 것이다.

The current study realizes the need and aims to seek the teaching method of bilingual education to teach the appreciation activity area out of 2007 revised Korean curriculum of third year music subject as part of English teaching which is gradually stressed in our society. Accordingly, we designed and provided a bilingual education teaching and learning guideline to teach the appreciation area organized in the third year curriculum using English as well as Korean and the summary of the present study is as follows: First, we designed a teaching and learning model for bilingual education. Since the goal is to make students understand English teaching music, we organized the flow and learning elements necessary for English and music to be taught the same time. Second, we organized English vocabularies by the class hour and classroom English sentences. We summarize vocabularies extracting them which are suitable for learning themes by each appreciation activity and classified classroom English sentences to teach music in English according to the flow of learning. Third, a variety of teaching and learning activities were applied. We proposed various learning activities to teach English and appreciation activity for music side by side through activities such as storytelling and mind map etc. Fourth, we took into consideration so that children can enhance their communication skills in English. We tried to help them to have more intense and deeper English expression skills through activity of expressing their ideas and feelings in English as well as increasing basic communication skills by repeatedly using English expressions which can be used often in real life. Through the findings of the present study teachers will be able to refer to and use vocabularies and classroom English sentences necessary to teach the appreciation area for music in English and ease their burden to teach music in English. In addition, children will be able to gain confidence in speaking English and increase their communication skills as well as enhancing English expression and understanding abilities through opportunities of repeatedly expressing their ideas and feeling in English.
