부모의 애착이 아동의 사회적 유능감에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 부모의 애착이 아동의 사회적 유능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 상호 결합된 부-모 복합 애착 유형에 따라 아동의 사회적 유능감에 미치는 영향은 차이가 있는지를 밝히는데 그 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.

첫째, 부, 모 애착 및 아동의 사회적 유능감의 상관관계는 어떠한가? 둘째, 부, 모 애착은 아동의 사회적 유능감에 영향을 미치는가? 셋째, 부-모 복합 애착 유형에 따라 아동의 사회적 유능감은 차이가 있는가?

본 연구의 대상은 제주특별자치도에 소재한 13개 초등학교 5, 6학년 아동 736명이었다. 측정도구는 부모에 대한 애착은 Armsden과 Greenberg(1987)가 제작한 부모 및 또래 애착척도 개정본 IPPA-R(Revised Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment) 중에서 부모에 대한 애착 척도만 발췌하여 번안‧ 수정 및 보완한 것을 사용하였고, 아동의 사회적 유능감은 박금옥(1998)이 개발한 청소년용 사회적 유능감 척도를 초등학생 수준에 맞게 수정‧ 보완한 것을 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도와 백분율, Pearson's 상관관계분석, 단계적 회귀분석(stepwise-regression), 일원변량분석(Analysis of variance: ANOVA)을 실시하였다.

본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.

첫째, 부, 모 애착 및 아동의 사회적 유능감의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 부, 모 애착 및 사회적 유능감은 모두 전체적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 나타냈으며 부, 모 애착 하위요인 및 사회적 유능감 하위요인 간에도 유의미한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 둘째, 부 애착이 아동의 사회적 유능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 부 애착은 사회적 유능감 하위요인 중 대인적응성과 주도성에 가장 큰 영향을 주었다. 부 애착 하위요인중 의사소통은 사회적 유능감의 모든 하위요인에 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 그 중에서도 주도성에 가장 큰 영향을 주었다. 또한 부 애착 하위요인인 신뢰감은 사회참여도에만 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 모 애착이 아동의 사회적 유능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 모 애착은 사회적 유능감의 하위요인 중 대인적응성에 가장 큰 영향을 주었다. 모 애착 하위요인중 의사소통은 사회적 유능감의 모든 하위요인에 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 그 중에서도 대인적응성에 가장 큰 영향을 주었다. 또한 모 애착 하위요인인 신뢰감은 사회참여도에만 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 부-모 복합 애착 유형에 따라 아동의 사회적 유능감은 유의미한 차이가 있으며, 부-모 모두와 안정 일치 애착을 형성한 아동이 부-모 모두와 불안정 일치 애착을 형성한 아동보다 사회적 유능감이 높게 나타났다.

본 연구의 결과를 통해서 부, 모와 안정 애착을 형성한 아동이 사회적 유능감이 높으며, 부모 모두와 안정 일치 애착을 형성한 아동이 부모 모두와 불안정 일치 애착을 형성한 아동보다 사회적으로 유능함이 나타났다. 또한 부모 애착 중 의사소통은 아동의 사회적 유능감 발달을 위한 중요한 요인임이 드러났다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of parents attachment on young children's social competence and tried to find out which difference of the social competence had according to type of Multiple- Attachment. For these purposes, this study addressed the following assignments: First, what is the correlation between parents attachment and young children's social competence? Second, does father and mother attachment influence the young children's social competence? Third, is there difference in social competence according to type of multiple attachment? The sbjects of this study were 736 students who were in fifth and sixth grade of 13 elementary schools within Jeju special self governing province. In order to measure children's attachment to parents, Inventory of Parent And Peer Attachment-Revised for Children(IPPA-R) invented by Armsden and Greenberg(1987) was used. Social competence was measured using Child's Social Competence Scale which was developed by Park, Gum Ok(1998). The data collected from this research had been analyzed by the SPSS 18.0 program. the frequency, percentage, Person's correlation, stepwise-regression and Analysis of variance(ANOVA) were conducted to examine the results of the research questions.

The conclusions of this study are summarized as follows. First, Through the analysis of this study, it was found that there are significant correlations between father and mother attachment and young children's social competence. Also, father and mother attachment and child social competence measured under the diverse sub-categories had positive correlation. Second, the children's leadership and adjustment showed the most significant effect on the children's attachment to father when considering the relationship between attachment to father and children social competence. Communication, which was also one of sub-categories in attachment to the father, also had an effect on all sub-areas of children's social competence. statistically , social participation was influenced by credibility which are the low factors of father attachment. Third, the children's adjustment showed the most significant effect on the children's attachment to mother when considering the relationship between attachment to mother and children's social competence. Forth, children's social competence had differences according to multiple attachment with their father and mother, and in social competence , the children who secure attached to their father and mother showed higher grade than the children insecure attached to them. The findings of this study imply that in social competence , the children who secure attached to their father and mother showed higher than the children insecure attached to them. also the communication with the father and mother influence the social competence of the boy and the girl, and the role of the parents is very important for the children to form a social competence.
