수학 익힘책을 활용한 수준별 수업에 관한 고등학생의 인식 비교

Abstract

7차 개정 교육과정에서는 수준별 이동식 교육과정을 개정하여 수준별 수업으로 바꾸고 기본교과서를 1권으로 사용하던 것을 개선하여 기본교과서와 수학 익힘책 2권으로 구분하여 사용할 것을 제시하고 있다. 2009년에 중·고등학교 1학년 학생들부터 전체학년으로 수학 익힘책이 확대 사용되며 교과서와 병행하여 사용할 수 있는 부교재로써 학생 스스로 교과서에서 학습할 내용을 익히는 것을 주목적으로 편찬되며 교사가 수업 중에도 활용할 수 있는 교재이다. 수학 익힘책을 효과적으로 사용하기 위하여 수학 익힘책을 수준별 수업에 어떻게 적용해야 하는지, 단지 문제지의 대용으로 생각하고 있는지, 짧은 수업시간에 교과서와 수학 익힘책을 모두 지도하려는 욕심을 부려서는 안 되겠지만 지도해야 될 것 같다는 부담감 증가 및 학습 분량의 증가로 받아들여지고 있지는 않은지, 단지 과제물로만 사용되고 있는지, 학력향상을 위하여 자기주도적 학습을 할 때 학생들이 수학 익힘책을 어떻게 활용하고 있는지를 등을 확인하여 볼 필요가 있다. 따라서 익힘책이 활용을 도모하는 면에서 사교육이 부족하고 학생 개개인이 능력이 떨어지는 농어촌고등학교에서 "어떻게 활용되는가?"를 제주시 동지역에 위치한 일반고등학교와 설문조사를 통하여 두 학교를 비교하면서 수학 익힘책의 농어촌고등학교에서 어려운 점을 중심적으로 연구하였다.

According to the revised 7th national curriculum, they recommend that students should be classified on the basis of academic ability level and the maths workbook consisted of two books should be used in class along with the text book. The maths workbook, the use of which has been expanded to all graders since 2009, were published to aim both for students to learn about the content of the text book by themselves and for teachers to use it in class as teaching aids.

We need to ask those questions in order to use the maths workbook effectively. 1. How can we use the maths workbook in the class on the basis of academic ability level? 2. Is the maths workbook only a substitute for some other maths exercise books? 3. Isn't the use of the maths workbook taken a burden for teachers and students to have to use it all in class along with the text book? 4. Is the maths workbook used only for students' homework? 5. How do students use the maths workbook in terms of self-directed learning?

I study about how the maths workbook is used in practice at some schools located at countryside which have poor educational condition and how the use of it has effect on academic achievement of students of school in the countryside, compared to some schools in the jeju city. The study also focuses on the difficulties of using the maths workbook in class at the countryside schools.
