제주지역 골프장의 관개용수 이용 특성

CHARACTERISTICS OF IRRIGATION WATER USE IN THE GOLF COURSES OF JEJU ISLAND, KOREA
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the basic unit of irrigation water on golf courses in Jeju Island. The amounts of rainwater and groundwater used on 20 golf courses have been monitored for this study. The characteristics of rainwater and groundwater from the selected 20 golf courses were analyzed based on the existing data that had been collected for three consecutive years from 2006 to 2009.
According to the date, the monthly average of the amount of groundwater used in the southern area was highest at 19,200 ㎥/month and the western area was followed at 17,500 ㎥/month. Also the annual average of the groundwater used in the southern area and the western area were at 230,300 ㎥/year and 210,000 ㎥/year, respectively. The correlation () between the lot size of the golf courses and average groundwater used per month was 0.73. For the maintenance of the golf courses, the basic unit of monthly groundwater used was calculated as 24 ㎥/month per 1,000 ㎡ area.
The annual rainwater used in the golf courses located in the southern area was highest at 374,300 ㎥/year, followed by 276,600 ㎥/year in the western area, and the northern area was the lowest at 225,500 ㎥/year. The seasonal monthly averages of rainwater used were (1) Spring (March to May), approximately 25,500 ㎥/month; (2) Summer (June to August), 29,600 ㎥/month; (3) Fall (September to November), 30,900 ㎥/month; and (4) Winter (December to February), 9,500 ㎥/month. Also, the correlation () between the lot size of the golf course area and the monthly rainwater used was 0.51. For the maintenance of the golf courses, the monthly average of rainwater used per 1,000 ㎡ was about 36 ㎥/month.
The range of monthly irrigation water (groundwater + rainwater) used was about 13,200~55,600 ㎥/month, with average of 36,600 ㎥/month. In the respects of the amount of annual water used, groundwater was recorded as 163,500 ㎥/year, and rainwater was recorded as 275,400 ㎥/year. Thus, the total annual irrigation water used was approximately 439,000 ㎥/year. The correlation () between golf course lot size and average amount of monthly irrigation water used was 0.65, and the monthly basic unit per golf course area (1,000 ㎡) was calculated as 60 ㎥.
