Abstract

The Loudest Duck is a business guide for the people in the diverse organization. This book takes its name from a Chinese children`s parable that says the loudest duck gets shot. In contrast, American people like to say that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Comparing the two, we can understand that different cultures teach different views and different sets of values. The diverse organization is made up of people of different cultures, hobbies, languages, religions, and genders. The Loudest Duck navigates those differences and gives us a chance to think about our reaction to those differences by offering Litmus Tests. Finally, it tells us how to move beyond diversity while embracing difference in order to benefit from the differences and achieve truly leveled playing field for everyone in the diverse organization. In today`s workplace, we work with various people. I am sure that you can have better understanding of your colleagues and achieve success at work.
