수학교육과정 수학교과서 중등수학 부등식 단원의 활용문제 유형분석

Abstract

본 연구는 개정 7차 교육과정에 따른 17종 수학교과서와 새롭게 추가된 수학익힘책을 통하여 그에 실린 부등식 단원의 활용 문제를 비교, 분석해 봄으로써, 교육목표를 실현하기 위하여 얼마나 현실성 있게 구성되었는지, 각 출판사 별로 수록된 경향을 비교 분석 하였다. 교과서란 공식적인 자료로써 현재 교육과정에서 요구하고 있는 교육목표를 충실하게 달성하기 위하여 필요한 교수⦁학습 활동에 대한 모든 것을 가장 구체적으로 제시하는 자료이다. 수학 과목의 목표는 수학적 개념, 원리, 법칙을 이해하고, 수학적으로 사고하고 의사소통하는 능력을 길러, 여러 가지 현상과 문제를 수학적으로 고찰함으로써 합리적이고 창의적으로 해결하며, 수학학습자로서 바람직한 인성과 태도를 기른다는 것이다. 이에 생활 주변이나 사회 및 자연 현상을 수학적으로 관찰, 분석, 조직, 표현하는 경험을 통하여 수학의 기본적인 기능과 개념, 원리, 법칙과 이들 사이의 관계를 이해하는 능력을 기르는 것을 우선으로 하고 있으나, 대부분의 학생들이 수학이라는 학문을 어렵고 단지 입시를 위해 해야 하는 도구과목으로 생각하고 있다. 또한, 일상생활과 관계없는 어려운 공부를 하는데 시간을 보내고 있으며 기본적인 사칙연산만 알고 있어도 살아가는데 지장이 없다는 생각을 가지고 있다. 이는 목표는 흥미와 관심을 지속적으로 가지도록 하는것에 두고 있으나 현실적인 교육에서는 개념과 공식암기 문제풀이 반복 등의 실생활과 동떨어진 형태를 띄고 있는 현장에서의 상황에 있다고 본다.. 이에 기존에 진행되고 있는 교과교육이 활용문제를 어떻게 적용하고 있는지 교과서를 통해 확인해보고자 하였다. 대부분의 교고서가 정수와 경제부분에 문제의 내용이 치우쳐져 있었다. 이는 수학이 기초학문으로 충분히 다양하게 응용되고 있으며, 그로 인해 수학에 대한 흥미와 동기를 유발시킬 수 있는 방향 또한 여러 방면으로 생각할 수 있음에도 불구하고 특정 몇몇 영역에만 치중함으로써, 오히려 더욱더 어려운 과목으로 생각하게 될 수 있다는 우려가 있다. 현실적으로 모든 교과서를 접하기란 쉽지 않다. 단 하나의 교과서를 가지고 학생들과 수업을 진행할 텐데, 17종이나 되는 교과서 중에서 어떤 교과서를 선택해야 하는지도 기준이 애매할 것이다. 그러나 한가지 분명한 것은, 충분히 모든 교과서를 검토해 보고, 교사 스스로 학생들을 위해 잘 구성된 교과서로 가르칠 필요가 있으며, 만약 선택한 교과서에 타 교과서에 비해 부족한 부분이 있다면 학생들이 배움에 빈자리가 없도록 도와야 할 것이다.

This study showed how realistically the curriculums are made up by comparing and analyzing practical questions of 'Inequality' part from 17 kinds of textbook of mathematics and newly added workbooks from each publishing company responding to the 7th Educational Curriculum Revision. Text book is an official material, which could fully show what is needed for Teaching – Learning activities from the present course of study requires as curriculum goals. The purpose of Mathematics is to understand mathematical concept, principles and laws, to develop thinking mathematically and communicating so that people could solve problems reasonably and creatively with consideration. Moreover, people could raise desirable personality and attitude as learner. Whereupon, it firstly develop the ability to understand the relations of basic mathematic concepts, principles, and laws by observing, analyzing, organizing, expressing experiences about social and natural phenomena. However, most students think mathematics as a hard subject and tool for their entrance examination. Moreover, they think they are studying useless and hard subject. They also think they could live life well only with the four fundamental arithmetic operations. This shows that the ideal goal is to help students keep interests in mathematics, but the real is not. Due to this problem, the object was searching the practical questions from text books. Most text books focus on Integer and Economic parts. This shows the problem, by concentrating on some parts, it makes mathematics seems more difficult. Even though it could be well applied and could consider more ways to trigger interests of mathematics if it was not focused on specific parts. Realistically, studying every text books is not easy. Teachers choose one text book and teach students. The standard will be vague to choose from 17 kinds of text books. However, one clear thing is that teachers must look through all text books and teach with good text book by themselves, and if there is shortage in the text book, they must help student not to have lack of learning.
