풍력발전단지의 유효전력 증발률 조정을 위한 BESS 용량 산정

Abstract
This paper analyzes the determination of BESS capacity for regulating the output of wind farms in Jeju Island. In the simulation, actual data from three wind farms in Jeju Island were used from December 2012 to February 2013.
To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, three kinds of simulation have been carried out.
1) to mitigate the power fluctuation of wind farm
2) to satisfy the operation rule of Jeju island power system
3) to satisfy the grid code for connecting the grid with the determinated BESS capacity for Sung-San, Han-Geong and Sam-Dal wind farms located in Jeju Island, respectively
In the simulation results, the smoothing effect and the limit rate of wind power output were satisfied
Finally, the conclusion was followed as the final chapter to inform the advantages of methods respectively and it will prove why BESS should be installed to wind farms to keep the grid code for renewable energy sources efficiently.
