제주 지역 중학교 과학과 평가 문항에 대한 영역 및 단원별 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 2007개정 제주 지역 중학교 과학과의 평가 문항을 분석하여, 학교 현장에서 교수 목적에 맞는 평가와 지도를 하는데 필요한 자료를 제공하기 위하 여 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 평가문항의 영역별 분포는 교육과정과, 단원별 분포는 분석한 15종 교과서와 유사하였고, 교과서의 영역별 분포는 교육과정과 일치하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 연구대상 학교 중 일부 중학교의 총괄 평가 출제 유형은 '정전기' 단원의 내용이 제외되었고, 평가 문항의 6가지 유형은 담당교사의 전공, 재량수업 등 여러 요인이 평가 문항에 반영되는 것으로 나타났다. 평가의 문항 수는 객관식 문항이 80%이상이었고, 2012년도에 새로운 유형인 논술형 문항이 출제되면서 학생들에게 지식을 바탕으로 사고력과 응용력을 동시에 평가할 수 있는 문항이 출제되기 시작한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 과학학습에 대한 다양한 영역의 총체적인 평가를 위해서는 교육과정과 교과서의 단원에 따른 영역배치의 변화와 과학지식 위주의 평가가 아닌 탐구능력과 태도와 관련된 다양한 유형의 문항을 이용한 평가가 필요하다고 판단된다.

This study was conducted to provide information to aid in assessment and guidance for optimal teaching in schools. The analysis investigated the assessment questions used in science teaching at middle schools in the Jeju area and compared them with textbooks revised in 2007 by the Ministry of Education. The distribution of the domains (physics, chemistry, life science, and earth science) among the textbooks did not agree with the domains recommended in the Revised Science Education Curricula in 2007. The distribution of assessment questions in domains and units was similar with the curricula and the textbooks, respectively. The assessment questions in the Jeju area were divided into six groups. At some middle schools, unit 9 was excluded in the summative assessment. The number of multiple-choice questions accounted for over 80% of the total. Essay questions were introduced in 2012 to assess the students' thinking and ability to apply knowledge. Consequently, comprehensive assessment of science learning should consider changes in the distribution of the domains according to the curriculum and textbooks, as well as assessments using various types of questions related to students' inquisitive ability and attitude.
