초등학교 6학년 음악교과서 이해영역 분석 연구

Abstract

초등 교과의 한 영역인 음악은 많은 나라의 교육과정에 들어가 있을 만큼 필수 적인 과목이다. 우리나라에도 공교육이 시작된 이후 계속해서 음악교과를 법으로 두도록 규정하고 있는데, 이는 음악이 아름다운 소리를 여러 가지 방법을 통해 체 험하게 함으로써 그 것을 마음으로 느끼는 심미적인 경험을 하게하며 이로 인해 인간의 심성이 바르게 길러지고 인격이 아름답게 성장하고 발달하기 때문이다. 이렇게 학교 교육에서 음악교과는 교육 기본법에 제시된 교육이념을 충족시키는 요건을 갖추고 있기 때문에 교과과정이 변천함에도 불구하고 계속해서 존재한다. 이에 본 연구자는 음악교과의 이해영역 중 특히 이론적인 부분의 중요성을 인 식하여 2007 개정 음악과 교육과정 6학년 5종의 음악 교과서별로 이해영역이 어 떻게 나타나 있는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과 이해영역이 제7차 교육과정에 비해 좀 더 포괄적이면서도 집중적으로 학습할 수 있도록 변화되었고 이론 교육이 모든 유형의 음악 교수·학습에서 출발점이 되고, 창의적인 표현 능력 향상을 위한 기초 가 된다는 점에서 중요한 학습목표로 자리 잡았다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 2007 개정 음악과 교육과정의 교과서는 제재곡의 종류가 다양해지고, 국악곡의 비율이 대체로 높아졌으며 여러 가지의 박자 중에서도 4분의 4박자가 많이 실린 것으로 분석되었다. 조성분포에서는 다장조의 곡이 가장 많이 실렸다. 화음은 제7 차 교육과정 교과서에 비해 훨씬 다양한 화음을 사용했고, 교과서별로 빠르기말 이나 셈여림 기호가 누락된 경우도 나타났다. 음역대는 1옥타브의 음역대를 가진 제재곡이 가장 많았고, 2도막 형식의 곡이 가장 많이 실렸다. 이와 같은 연구를 통하여 초등학생들의 요구에 충족되는 음악이론 교재개발, 악곡에서의 음악이론 설명, 초등학생들에게 적합한 차별성, 음악이론 교육 실기훈 련의 통합, 현대음악에 대한 연속성 안내 및 음악의 기본적인 개념 체득과 같은 방안을 통하여 초등 음악이론교육을 좀 더 포괄적이고 집중적으로 학습시킬 수 있다는 것을 알았다. 또한 2007 개정 음악과 교육과정의 교과서들이 가지고 있는 특징을 파악할 수 있었고, 교사들이 자신의 교육관과 교육계획에 맞추어 교과서 를 선택할 수 있는 범위가 다양해졌음을 알 수 있었다.

As one of the subjects for elementary school, music is so essential that it is included in the curriculum of many countries. In Korea, the subject of music has been taught by law since the beginning of public education because music offers aesthetic experience of feeling beautiful sounds from the heart in many ways, which helps develop human minds properly building up one's character fully. This way, since the music subject is equipped with requirements to meet the principle of education presented by the Fundamentals of Education Act, it continues to exist despite the change of curriculum. Thus, understanding the importance of the comprehension area, especially theoretical part, of music subject, the researcher analyzed how each of the comprehension area for 6th grader is presented in 5 kinds of music textbooks under the revised 7th official curriculum The result of analysis revealed learning compared to the 7th official curriculum and that theory education is an important learning object in that it becomes the starting point of music teaching and learning of all kinds as the basis for improving the capability of creative expression. In revised 7th curriculum, tunes published have varied in kind generally with a relatively higher portion of traditional Korean music, predominantly including four-four time among many kinds of time. In terms of scale and harmony, tunes in C major were carried most and much more diverse chords were used compared to the 7th curriculum, also showing omission of tempo signature or dynamic marks. As to frequency range, the most tunes had one octave with binary form. In this study, it was found that it is possible to deliver the lesson of music theory for elementary school students more comprehensively and intensively through differentiation suited for the students, unity of music theory lesson with practice, introduction connectivity to modern music and mastery over the basic concepts of music by developing music theory texts meeting their demands and explaining music theory in musical compositions. Besides, with understanding of characteristics of textbooks in revised 2007 curriculum, it was also found that larger scope has been available for teachers in choosing textbooks in accordance with their view of education and teaching plan.
