사진치료가 저소득층 아동의 자기표현 및 대인관계에 미치는 효과 : 단일집단연구

Abstract

이 연구는 사진치료가 저소득층 아동의 자기표현 및 대인관계 향상에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다.

이 연구의 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사진치료는 저소득층 아동의 자기표현 향상에 효과가 있는가? 둘째, 사진치료는 저소득층 아동의 대인관계 향상에 효과가 있는가? 셋째, 사진치료 단계에 따라 저소득층 아동의 자기표현 및 대인관계 행동은 어떻게 변화하는가?

이 연구의 방법은 다음과 같다. 연구자는 제주시에 소재한 B지역아동센터를 이용하는 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 저소득층 아동 4명을 연구 대상으로 선정하여, 주 2회, 총 10회기의 사진치료를 실시하였다. 이 연구의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 자기표현 및 대인관계검사를 사용하여 사전․사후 점수를 비교하여 나타내었으며, A-B-A설계에 따라 자기표현 및 대인관계 행동관찰기록표를 작성하여 기초선Ⅰ․처치․기초선Ⅱ 기간의 점수를 비교하여 나타내었다. 그리고 사진치료 과정을 촬영한 비디오와 관찰기록을 토대로 대상아동의 자기표현 및 대인관계 행동 변화를 분석하여 나타내었다.

이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대상아동은 사진치료를 통해 자기표현검사와 자기표현 행동관찰기록표 점수가 향상되는 결과를 보였다. 따라서 사진치료는 저소득층 아동의 자기표현 향상에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 대상아동은 사진치료를 통해 대인관계검사와 대인관계 행동관찰기록표 점수가 향상되는 결과를 보였다. 따라서 사진치료는 저소득층 아동의 대인관계 향상에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 대상아동은 사진치료 단계에 따라 자기표현 및 대인관계 행동이 향상되는 모습을 보였다. 따라서 사진치료는 대상아동의 자기표현 및 대인관계 행동이 긍정적으로 변화하는데 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다.

이러한 결과는 사진치료가 저소득층 아동의 자기표현 및 대인관계 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있으며, 사진 매체를 사용한 예술치료의 발전 가능성을 시사한다.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the phototherapy on the self-expression and interpersonal relations with low-income children. For this purpose, researcher addressed these questions: 1) Does the phototherapy improve the self-expression of low-income children? 2) Does the phototherapy improve the interpersonal relations of low-income children? 3) How does the self-expression and interpersonal relations behavioral change of low-income children as the phototherapy progressed? Participants consisted of four low-income children enrolled in the "B" Local Child Center, in Jeju City. They were in the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade at elementary school. They received 10 sessions of the phototherapy, twice a week, during 5 weeks. They responded to the scale to assess the self-expression and interpersonal relations, before and after the intervention. Researcher observed their behavior of the self-expression and interpersonal relations using the checklist and recorded on video tapes and took notes of their activities during the intervention. The findings of this study were as follows: First, the phototherapy was effective in improving the self-expression of low-income children. Second, the phototherapy was effective in improving the interpersonal relations of low-income children. Third, the phototherapy brought a positive behavioral changes in low-income children. So that they expressed themselves unhesitatingly and showed concern in their interactions with each other. These findings suggested that the phototherapy had a positive influence on the self-expression and interpersonal relations of low-income children. It seemed that this study supported the feasibility of using art therapy with photographs for effective in improving the self-expression and interpersonal relations of low-income children.
