대학생이 지각한 부모애착과 우울의 관계에서 자전기억 평가의 매개효과

Abstract

이 연구는 대학생이 지각한 부모애착, 우울, 자전기억 평가 간의 관계와 영향을 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 부모애착이 우울에 이르게 하는 인지변인으로는 자전기억 평가를 설정하였다. 이 연구는 우울의 문제를 가지고 상담실을 방문하는 내담자에게 우울의 인지변인인 내적작동모델과 인지도식을 이해하여 상담에서 활용할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다.

이 연구의 연구문제는 다음과 같다.

첫째, 부모애착, 자전기억 평가, 우울 세 변인은 상관관계가 있는가? 둘째, 부모애착이 우울에 미치는 영향력은 어느 정도인가? 셋째, 자전기억 평가가 우울에 미치는 영향력은 어느 정도인가? 넷째, 부모애착과 우울의 관계에서 자전기억평가는 매개효과가 있는가?

이 연구에서 연구자는 부모애착 수준을 측정하기 위해 Armsden과 Greenberg(1987)가 개발한 부모애착척도의 개정판을 옥정(1998)이 번안한 것을 사용하였다. 우울척도로는 Beck, Ward, Meldelson 그리고 Erbaugh가 개발한 BDI를 수정 보완한 BDI-Ⅱ를 김명식, 이임순, 이창선(2007)이 번안한 것으로 사용하였다. 또한 Williams & Broadbent(1986)의 자서전적 기억 검사를 수정하여 사용하였다. 이상과 같은 연구문제를 검증하기 위하여 연구자는 제주특별자치도 소재의 대학교에 재학 중인 450명의 대학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 자료 분석은 SPSS Statistic 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 주요변인의 평균과 표준편차, 상관관계분석, 단일회귀분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며 부모애착과 우울의 관계에서 자전기억 평가의 매개효과를 살펴보기 위하여 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다.

이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.

첫째, 부모애착, 우울, 자전기억 평가간의 상관분석을 실시한 결과 부모애착, 우울, 자전기억 평가 간에는 서로 유의미한 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 부모애착이 우울에 유의한 영향을 미치며 부모애착의 하위요인 중 소외감이 우울에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자전기억 평가가 우울에 미치는 영향력을 살펴 본 결과 유의미한 부적영향이 있었으며 부모애착이 자전기억 평가에 미치는 영향력은 유의미한 정적영향이 있었다. 넷째, 부모애착과 우울간의 관계에서 자전기억은 부분매개효과를 나타냈다. 부모애착은 우울에 직접 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 매개변수로 인지변인인 자전기억 평가를 통해서도 간접적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 위와 같은 연구결과를 볼 때, 부모애착과 자전기억 평가는, 우울과 관계가 있고 우울에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 우울한 내담자의 내적 작동모델과 인지구조에 대한 정보를 얻음으로써 내담자의 치료적 개입에 유용한 도움을 줄 것으로 여겨진다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the interrelationships among parent attachment perceived by college students, their depression and autobiographical memory assessment. Particularly this study clarifies the mediating effect of autobiographical memory assessment on the relationship between the perceived parent attachment and depression. For this purpose, the study addresses four research questions:

First, Are there significant correlations among parent attachment, autobiographical memory assessment and depression? Second, Does parent attachment predict depression significantly? Third, Does autobiographical memory assessment predict depression significantly? Finally, Does autobiographical memory assessment have a mediated effect in the relation between parent attachment and depression

Participants consisted of 369 students(males 184, female 215) enrolled in Jeju National University. They responded to some questionnaires, including Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment, Beck Depression Inventory-Ⅱ, and Autobiographical Memory Test. To analysis data collected from their responses, researcher produced mean and standard deviation of each variables, and conducted correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Also in order to test mediator effect of autobiographical memory assessment in relation with parent attachment and depression, stepwise regression analysis was conducted.

The findings of this study were as follows: First, there was significantly a positive correlation between parent attachment and depression. Second, parent attachment predicted significantly depression. Third, autobiographical memory assessment had a mediated effect in relation of parent attachment and depression. Finally, parent attachment decrease significantly the depression of autobiographical memory assessment. The results of this study would provide useful counseling data that understanding depression of college students.
