족부 합지증 교정을 위한 학동기 아동 발가락의 생체계측학적 연구

Abstract

선천성 수족부 합지증은 수족부 선천성 기형 중 가장 흔한 기형이다. 하지만 선 천성 족부 합지증은 선천성 수부 합지증에 비해 증례 보고 및 연구는 부족한 실 정이다. 선천성 족부 합지증은 대게 기능적 결손이 미미한 것으로 알려져 있다. 교정 시기는 침범 정도에 따라 다양하며, 기능적으로 큰 문제가 없는 경우라면 학동기가 시작되는 만 5세 전후로 시행한다. 또한 교정은 기능적 개선보다는, 미 용적 개선을 주된 목표로 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 선천성 족부 합지증 교정 시 참고하기 위한 한국인 소아의 참조치를 찾고자 하였다. 제주대학교병원 성형외과 외래방문 환자 중 수족부 선천성 기형이나 후천적 변형이 없는 만 5세에서 만 12세 남녀 각 40명씩을 조사 대상으로 하였다. 첫 번째 발가락부터 다섯 번째 발가락까지 발가락 길이를 계측하였다. 전자식 캘리퍼스를 사용하여 측정하였으 며, 측정치에 대한 평균값 및 표준편차를 구하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 계측치 는 향후 선천성 족부 합지증 교정에 중요한 참고 자료로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

Congenital syndactyly is one of the most common congenital toe and digital anomalies. Congenital toe syndactyly has less been reported than congenital digital syndactyly. Congenital toe syndactyly is known to show minimal functional defects. Correction can be conducted according to the severity of anomaly. If the problem is functionally not serious, correction is usually conducted at the age of 5. Correction is focused on esthetic improvements rather than on functional. In this study, a reference for Korean congenital toe syndactyly children was suggested. Of the outpatients of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Jeju National University Hospital, 40 male and 40 female children in their age of 5 to 12 without congenital digital and toe anomaly or acquired deformity were selected for this study. The lengths of the 5 toes were measured using electronic calipers. Means and standard deviations of the measurements were calculated. The measurements of this study may be used as reference data for future congenital toe syndactyly corrections.
