A study on the comparison of satisfaction for the attributes of duty-free shop choice by Chinese tourists : focused on the comparison between Jeju and Shanghai
Abstract
Recently, various regions of the world have recognized that strive to
develop through the tourist commodities attract foreign tourists, thereby
improving the foreign trade balance. Tourism is the core of industrial area of
Jeju, especially the very great proportion is the Chinese tourists visit Jeju
visitors in all, and the average expenditure is the most. Sightseeing and
shopping are the important parts of tourism industry, and the duty-free
shopping is the proportion of all the most advance research, but most of the
duty-free shopping is to the overall assessment of the duty-free shops and
general selection attributes as the center, and China duty free shop on
specific research is not very many. Therefore, most international flights
operating between the Jeju special autonomy tract duty-free shops and with
Jeju Shanghai duty-free shop as the research object, carries on the
comparative analysis to the Chinese tourists choose properties at the
duty-free shop. Through the analysis to find out the Jeju duty free shop and
Shanghai duty free shop are different. It can make the choice attributes Jeju
Island duty-free shop overall satisfaction, and according to the differences in
demographic characteristics and bring.
Therefore, the ultimate purpose of this research is to grasp the
characteristics of China duty-free shopping tourists, thus put forward the
scheme of duty-free shopping activity. In order to achieve the purpose of the
study, investigates the first studies in the literature of duty-free shops and
shopping satisfaction and other attribute selection theory, the theoretical study
on the basis of, derived the research model and research hypothesis, and has
carried on the questionnaire survey to the empirical analysis. Questionnaire survey is measuring tool in the use of advance in the study as the
foundation, this study revised and perfected, and discussed at and guidance of
Professor, from 2015.02.09 to 2015.02.22, in the Shanghai Pudong International
Airport and Jeju International Airport to Chinese tourists as the object, take
their own method of completing the survey respondents the questionnaire the
questionnaire. A total of 400 questionnaires were sent out, got 392 copies
back, abandon which did not respond or judgment for 15 questionnaires
dishonest answer, eventually with 287 copies (94.3%) effective samples.
Statistical analysis using SPSS for Window 19 program, carried out frequency
analysis, reliability and validity analysis, IPA analysis, T-test analysis,
ANOVA analysis.
Assuming the results are summarized as follows.
H1: according to the characteristics of the population demographic (gender,
age, occupation, income) is different, there are significant differences on the
choice of attribute satisfaction.
H2: there are significant differences in satisfaction and select properties the
duty-free shops in Jeju and Shanghai duty free shop Chinese tourists.
The results of this study show that the proposed scheme, in the duty-free
shop activity, to consider the duty-free shops choice attributes and shopping
satisfaction. In addition, but also for the Chinese market duty-free
comparison, makes up own insufficiency, finally also should give full
consideration to the demographic characteristics of tourists, so as to better
understand their shopping behavior.
