F. Schubert의 Variations for Flute and Piano in e minor on Theme from Trockne Blumen D.802 Op.160 의 분석 연구

Abstract

슈베르트는 오스트리아 빈 출신의 작곡가이다. 31세의 짧은 인생을 살면서 600 곡이 넘는 가곡과 교향곡, 현악 4중주곡, 피아노곡, 기악곡 등 방대한 양의 작품 활동을 한 낭만주의 작곡가라 할 수 있다. 그의 작품들은 특유의 서정성과 아름 다운 선율이 특징이다. 슈베르트가 작곡한 Variations for Flute and Piano in e minor on Theme from Trockne Blumen D.802 Op.160은 그의 작품 중 유일한 플루트 곡이며 현재까지 많은 사람들의 레퍼토리로 사용되고 있는 곡이다. 이 논문은 연구곡을 분석하고 연주기법을 고찰하여 연주에 도움을 주고자 했다. 본 연구 곡은 슈베르트의 연가곡인 《아름다운 물방앗간의 아가씨》중 제18번 곡인 을 주제로 변주한 곡이며 서주와 주제, 7개의 변주곡으로 구성되 어 있다. 곡은 대체로 2부분형식으로 되어있으며 서주와 Var.6, Var.7은 2부분형 식에 Coda를 첨가하는 형식을 취하고 있다. 박자와 조성은 주제곡과 Var.5번까 지 2/4박자와 원 조인 e단조의 조성을 사용하고 있으며, Var.6은 3/8박자와 E장 조의 조성으로 Var.7은 4/4박자와 E장조로 바뀌어 연주된다.이 곡은 선율과 리듬에서 다양한 변화를 보여주며 악상의 대비와 슬러, 스타카 토, 액센트의 사용으로 원곡인 가곡의 느낌에 기악적인 요소를 부각시켰다. 또한 플루트곡이지만 피아노가 단순히 반주의 악기가 아닌 이중주로 느껴질 정도로 플루트와 대등한 관계로 연주되며 기악곡에서도 예술가곡의 특징을 살렸다고 할 수 있다. 연주자는 악상과 리듬 아티큘레이션의 정확성을 지키며 연주해야하며 피아노와 플루트의 선율진행에 유의해야한다. 이 곡은 슈베르트의 낭만주의적 성향을 드러 내는, 아름다운 선율과 서정성이 느껴지는 대표 플루트곡이라 할 수 있다.

Franz Peter Schubert is the composer from Wien, Austria. He is one of the Romantic composers who had an abundant production of music pieces composing over 600 pieces of classical song, symphony, string quartet, piano music, instrumental music and so on during the short period of his entire life. His pieces of music are characterized by their unique lyricism and beautiful melodies. The music Variations for Flute and Piano in E minor on Theme from Trockne Blumen D.802 Op.160 composed by Schubert is the only one flute music of his entire pieces and is used as a repertory item for many people up to date. This study analyzed the music and studied performing techniques for the music to help perform better. These pieces of music on the study are variations on Nr 18. Trockne Blumen from the Schubert's love song, Die Schöne Müllerin and consist of an introduction, a theme and 7 variations. This piece of music is usually in a binary form and adds Coda to its binary form in the introduction, Var.6 and Var.7. It is performed in two-four time and in E minor(which is an original key) through theme music and Var.5. Then it turns into three-eight time and E major through Var.6, and four-four time and E major through Var.7. This music shows various transitions in melody and rhythm. By using a contrast in motif, a slur, a staccato and an accent, instrumental elements are added into the original classical music. Moreover, as the piano is played so equally with the flute that it felt as if the piano were for a duet not just for an accompaniment though it is the music for the flute. The piano emphasizes the characteristics of the art song in an instrumental piece as well. The players for this piece should play keeping the accuracy of the motif, rhythm and articulation of the music and should pay attention to the melodic progression in both the piano and the flute. This piece of music is the representative music for the flute that reveals the Schubert's Romantic inclination and makes us appreciate the beautiful melodies and lyricism of the music.
