이청준 초기 단편소설의 인물연구

Abstract

이 연구는 이청준의 소설 「굴레」, 「보너스」, 「가학성 훈련」을 대상으 로 작중인물을 가학하는 권력자와 억압받는 사회적 약자로 유형을 나누어 연 구하였다. 자본주의 체제에서 행해지는 권력자의 가학 형태는 대개 책임을 회피하기 위한 침묵으로 나타난다. 권력자는 조직의 질서를 유지하기 위해 침묵으로 사 회적 약자들을 통제해 나간다. 자본관계에서 비롯되는 가학은 가정 안에도 영 향을 미치지만, 자본은 새로운 계층을 만들고 세습되는 모습을 보이기도 한다. 이러한 사회의 부조리 현상을 작가는 소설을 통해 고발하고 있다. 자본주의 체제가 만든 거대한 권력집단의 권력 통제와 억압으로 인해 사회 적 약자들은 여러 증세나 특징을 보인다. 부당한 가학을 느낄 때 피학의 주인 공들은 오줌 마려움 증세, 도박 증세, 코 가려움 증세로 나타난다. 이 연구를 통해 사회적인 지위에 따라 가학 정도가 다르게 나타난다는 사실 이 발견된다. 사회적 지위가 낮고 책임이 무거울수록 권력의 횡포에 대항하지 못해 위축되고 억압받는다. 이러한 현상의 책임을 개인에게만 물을 것이 아니 라 사회적인 측면에서 고찰되기를 바라는 작가 의식을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 서로 다른 사회적 지위에 따른 가학자와 피학자의 모습을 통해 현대 사회가 현대인에게 주는 시사점을 찾아보고자 했다.

The authors consider the appearance of consciousness through sadistic party and the victim according to different social status had been looking for the implication to modern man.
