2009 개정 교육과정 미술 교과서의 참고작품 분석 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 미술 교과서에 제시된 참고작품의 중요성에 대한 인식을 바탕 으로 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 3, 4학년 미술 교과서에 제시된 참 고작품을 비교․분석하고, 그에 따른 문제점과 개선 방향을 모색하여 차후에 개 정되는 미술 교과서에 보완할 수 있는 보다 효율적인 교과 내용의 개선 방향을 제시하는데 그 의의를 두었으며, 다음과 같은 과정으로 연구를 진행하였다. 먼 저 2009 개정 교육과정의 이해, 미술 교과서에서 참고작품의 의미에 대한 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 초등학교 3, 4학년 5종의 미술 교과서에 제시된 참고작품을 비교․분석하여 문제점을 살펴보고 그 결과를 토대로 참고작품 개선방안을 다음 과 같이 제안하였다. 첫째, 참고작품에 대한 도판 설명을 명확하게 제시해야 한다. 5종의 미술 교과 서에 소개된 참고작품 중에서 작가명이나 작품 제작년도를 누락하여 수록한 작품 이 많았다둘째, 출판사별로 적정한 참고작품 수를 제시할 필요가 있다. 미술 교과서의 체험, 표현, 감상 영역에 따른 참고작품의 수가 출판사 별로 상이하였으며 참고 작품 수록 비율이 출판사별로 크게 차이 나는 경우가 많았다. 셋째, 체험 영역에서 자연물과 인공물에 대한 참고작품의 수를 적절하게 조정 할 필요가 있다. 체험 영역에 있어서 인공물 작품에 편향하여 수록하는 경우가 많았다. 넷째, 표현 영역에서 학생작품의 수를 적정하게 조절하고, 국외 학생의 참고작 품을 제시할 필요가 있다. 표현 영역의 참고작품이 작가 작품보다는 학생 작품에 매우 편중되어 있고, 국외 학생의 작품이 단 한 점도 수록되지 않고 있었다. 다섯째, 참고작품을 국가별, 시대별로 고르게 분배하여 수록해야 한다. 각 영 역별 참고작품을 국가별로 분석한 결과 국외 작품 중에서 동양 작품의 비율이 현 저하게 낮았으며, 국내․외의 작품 대부분이 근․현대 시대에 편중되어 있었다. 여섯째, 감상 영역에 다양한 장르의 참고작품을 고르게 제시하는 것이 필요하 다. 감상 영역에서 대부분의 출판사가 회화 작품을 가장 많이 수록하고 있으며, 서예나 판화 작품은 거의 제시되지 않는 경향을 보이고 있어 현대 미술의 시대적 흐름을 제대로 반영하지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같이 본 연구를 통해 도출된 2009 개정 교육과정 미술 교과서의 참고작 품 개선 방안이 추후 개정되는 미술 교과서 개발의 선행 자료로서 의의가 있을 것으로 기대하며, 나아가 초등 미술 교과서에서 참고작품에 대한 연구가 지속적 으로 이루어져 미술 교과서의 질적 향상이 이루어지기를 기대한다.

This study, based on recognizing the importance of reference works presented in art textbooks, comparatively analyzes reference works presented in 3rd, 4th grade elementary school art textbooks, finds their problems and explore improvement plans so that a direction of efficient improvement that the existing art textbooks may be complemented. Its research was done in the following process. First, based on understanding the year 2009 revised educational curricula and research on the meaning of referenceworks in the textbooks, it comparatively analyzed works presented in the 5 kinds of art textbooks for 3rd/4th grade elementary students to find out problems, based on which results the following plan to improve reference works is suggested; First, clear explanation of illustrations should be presented. Many of references introduced in the 5 kinds of art textbooks miss out the names of their authors or the year they were made. Second, proper number of reference works should be presented by publisher. Experience, expression and appreciation of the textbooks differ by publisher and the ratio of reference works appearing in the textbooks often showed a big difference by publisher. Third, the number of natural objects and man-made ones in the experience area should be properly regulated. Man-made objects are often shown too much in the experience area. Fourth, expression area should properly regulate the number of works by students and present more by foreign students. Reference works in the expression area are mostly made by students, not by artists and not even a work by foreign students was shown in the textbooks. Fifth, reference books should be evenly distributed by nation and time. Results of analyzing by-area reference works showed a remarkably low ratio of oriental works among ones made overseas with most of home/overseas works being lopsided in the modern/contemporary time. Sixth, it's necessary to evenly distribute reference works of various genres in the appreciation area, in which most of publishers carry paintings the most with calligraphy and engraving hardly presented, indicating that the flow of the contemporary art is not enough reflected.The plan devised by this study to improve reference works of the 2009 revised art textbooks is expected to have meaning as foregoing data for would-be revised art textbooks and further, the current writer expects that continuos research in year ahead on reference works in art textbooks will bring about an increase in their quality.
