초등학교 5, 6학년 미술 교과서 감상단원 비교분석

Abstract

예술의 한 영역으로서의 미술은 언어적 기능, 철학적 기능, 문화적 기능을 모두 지니고 있다. 따라서 미술은 이러한 기능들을 총체적으로 고려하여 학습자 들에게 전달이 되어야 한다. 또한 우리가 살아가고 있는 현대 사회에서 다양한 시각 정보를 자신의 생각이나 느낌을 표현하는 능력이 필요한 만큼 시각 정보 를 이해하고 받아들이는 능력이 필요하다. 이에 따라 학교에서 미술교육의 중요 성도 변화하였다. 표현 중심의 미술교육뿐만 아니라 미술의 이해와 미술 감상 활동이 강조되고 있다. 따라서 빠르게 변화하는 사회적, 시대적 요구를 반영하 여 미술과 교육과정은 변화해 왔다. 본 연구는 현재 미술교육에서 중요하게 여겨지는 활동인 감상활동에 초점을 맞추어 초등학교 2009 개정 미술 교육과정 5, 6학년 미술 교과서의 감상 관련 단원을 비교 분석한 것이다. 본 연구의 내용을 살펴보면 첫째, 2009개정 미술과 교육과정의 개정방향, 목표, 내용체제 및 성취기준에 대한 이해를 살펴보고 둘째, 감상교육의 개념과 중요성,감상 능력의 발달 단계, 미술 감상 지도 방법 등 미술 감상 지도에 관한 이론에 대해 알아보고 셋째, 초등학교 5, 6학년 미술 교과서에 제시된 감상 관련 단원들 을 분석기준을 세워서 미술교과서 종류 및 외형적 구성 체계, 내용적 구성 체계, 감상 단원 도판을 비교 분석하였다. 초등학교 5, 6 학년 미술 교과서를 비교 분석한 결과 본 연구에서 얻게 된 결론 을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 5, 6 학년 미술 교과서가 2009 개정 교육과정에서 제시하고 있는 내용을 충실하게 반영하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 감상 단원에서 우리나라의 도판 수가 많고, 모든 교과서마다 '미술사'란 단원이 신설되면서 우리나라의 미술 사를 중요하게 다루고 있었다. 셋째, 미술의 이해와 감상활동을 강조하는 시대적, 사회적 요구를 반영하여 감상 관련 단원의 페이지 수가 증가하였다. 넷째, 미술비 평의 중요성이 강조되면서 미술 비평을 위한 단계를 소개하고 적용 가능한 활동 이 제시가 되었다. 요즘 미술 감상의 중요성이 더욱더 부각되는 만큼 학교 현장에서 표현 중심 활 동에 치우치지 않고 다양한 미술 감상 활동을 통해서 미적 감수성을 키우며, 다른 사람들과 소통하며 자신의 생각과 느낌을 표현하며 미술 문화를 이해할 수 있도 록 해야 한다. 모든 사람들이 미술을 통해서 전인적 인간을 육성하는 감상 교육에 좀 더 많은 관심과 연구가 요구된다. 따라서 초등학교에서 사용하고 있는 미술 교과서는 다양한 미술 문화, 작품 등을 제시하고 보여주고 감상 관련 단원을 학습하면서 발생할 수 있는 문제점들을 보 완하고 개선하는 연구가 이루어져야 하며 앞으로도 지속적으로 교육과정에 맞는 교과서를 집필하기 위한 교과서 분석이 계속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Art consists all linguistic function, philosophical function, and cultural function. Therefore, art must be communicated to leaners after comprehensively considering these functions. Further, it is essential to hone the skill in understanding and adapting visual information and it is as important as the skill in expressing one's opinion or feelings in various visual information in today's society. Accordingly, the level of importance in art eduction has changed and it further emphasizes understanding and observation of arts in addition to expression-focused art education. Thus, art and art curriculum have changed in accordance with fast changing society and periodicdemands. This study conducts a comparative analysis on the chapters related to art appreciation in art textbooks for elementary school fifth and sixth grades after the 2009 education revision as art appreciation activities is considered as crucial in the current art education. This study first explores the understanding of 2009 revised art and education curriculum in terms of revision direction, goal, content system, and achievement standard. Second, this study analyzes the theories and theoretical essence of art appreciation education, developmental stages of art appreciation ability, and theories and methods of art appreciation education. Third, it conducts a comparative analysis on art text book types, external composition system, content composition system, and art appreciation chapter illustrations based on elementary school fifth and sixth grades' art textbook. The analysis results of a comparative study on elementary school fifth and sixth grade textbooks are as follows: First, the 2009 revised education curriculum's content proposals were well applied in the fifth and sixth grade art textbooks. Second, in the chapters on art appreciation, there are numerous South Korean illustrations, and all textbook comprise "art history" chapters that the South Korean art history is considered as important in the textbooks. Third, applied by period and society demand in understanding in art, the page numbers of chapters relating art appreciation have increased. Fourth, as art critics have become more important, the textbooks introduce the stages of art critics and applications of art critic activities. As the importance of art appreciation has become more articulated in these days, at school, it is crucial to balance expression-focus activities and develop aesthetic sensitivity through various art appreciation activities in addition to build skills in understanding art culture and communicating one's opinions and feelings. Thus, it is important to meet the demand of art appreciation education for well-rounded human development through arts by increasing attention andresearch on art appreciation education. Hence, it is necessary to provide various art cultures and art works to elementary school students and conduct a research on improving the issues with studying art appreciation related chapters. Further, it is essential to continue the analysis on textbooks for continuously update the content in accordance with the most appropriate education curriculum.
