그림책 독서치료가 지역아동센터 아동의 자아존중감과 교우관계 발달에 미치는 영향

이 연구는 그림책을 활용한 독서치료 프로그램이 지역아동센터 내의 저소득층 아동의 자아존중감 및 교우관계에 미치는 영향을 확인한기 위해 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 그림책을 활용한 독서치료 프로그램이 첫째, 지역아동센터 아동의 자아존중감 향상에 효과가 있는가?, 둘째, 지역아동센터 아동의 교우관계 개선에 효과가 있는가? 라는 연구문제를 설정하였다. 위와 같은 연구문제를 확인하기 위해 지역아동센터 내의 저소득층 초등학생 4학년에서 6학년 아동 8명(남 3명, 여 5명)을 실험집단으로 하고 또 다른 8명(남 3명, 여 5명)을 통제집단으로 하여 자아존중감 및 교우관계 사전 검사를 실시하였다. 실험집단에서는 16회에 걸쳐 독서치료 프로그램을 실시하고, 통제집단에서는 아무런 처지를 가하지 않았으며, 실험이 끝난 후 두 집단의 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 검사도구로는 Rosenberg(1995)가 개발한 검사를 전병제(1974)가 번안한 자아존중감 검사지를 사용하였고 교우관계 검사는 김형태(1989)가 제작하여 문항분석을 마친 교우관계 척도로 문소영(2007)이 초등학생 이해수준을 고려하여 재구성한 것을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 그림책을 활용한 독서치료 프로그램은 지역아동센터 초등학생의 자아존중감을 유의미하게 향상시켰다. 자아존중감은 통제집단에 비해 유의미한 차이를 보여 그 효과가 입증되었다. 둘째, 그림책을 활용한 독서치료 프로그램은 지역아동센터 초등학생의 교우관계에서 친구의 유무와 신의는 변함이 없었고, 교제의 지속성, 친구 간의 적응, 친구와의 공동생활은 유의하게 향상되었다. 따라서 이 연구는 독서치료 프로그램을 지역아동센터 현장에 적응하여 저소득층 초등학생들이 자신에 대해 잘 알고, 긍정적인 자아상을 형성하도록 돕고, 친구들과의 관계에서 친구의 입장을 이해하고 신뢰감을 쌓으며 상호작용 기술을 익히도록 도울 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 후속 연구를 위하여 다음과 같이 제언하고자 한다. 첫째, 이 연구의 대상이 지역아동센터 학생으로 제한되었기 때문에 모든 학생들에게 일반화하기에는 주의가 필요하며 다양한 지역, 시간, 연령의 학생들을 대상으로 연구하여 일반화시킬 필요가 있다. 둘째, 연구가 다양한 전자도서나 영상 자료 등을 함께 활용한 독서차료 프로그램의 효과를 검증해볼 필요가 있다. 셋째, 지역아동센터 현장의 다양한 생활 지도에서 활용될 수 있는 독서치료 프로그램을 활용한다면 훈계나 설득보다 교육적으로 큰 효과가 있을 것으로 기대한다. 따라서 이 연구는 그림책을 활용한 독서치료 프로그램이 저소득층 초등학생의 자아존중감 및 교우관계에 미치는 영향을 알아봄으로써 새로운 그림책을 활용한 독서치료 프로그램 개발에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 본다.

This research is to identify the influence of reading therapy program on underprivileged regional child care center children's self-esteem and relationship between friend. So therefore, I decided to select the research subject to find out whether reading therapy helps regional child care center's children to raise self-esteem and makes them get along well with their friends. To figure them out, I selected 8 children(3 boys and 5 girls) as an experiment group, and another 8 children(3 boys and 5 girls) as a controlled group. And I carried on a preliminary inspection of reading therapy, influencing the self-esteem and friendship of children. In the experiment group, I implemented 16 times of reading therapy program using creative activity time. In the controlled group, I did nothing on them. And after the experiment, I implemented an after inspection. As a check tool, I used the self-esteem experiment sheet, which Rosenberg developed and Jeon Byungje adapted. And for the friendship experiment test, I refered Kim Hyungtae's adaptation considering an elementary student Moon Soyeong(2007)'s level of understanding as a friendship criterion. Through this way and progress first, reading therapy program using picture book raised self-esteem meaningfully. Second, reading therapy through picture book made elementary school students from regional child care center's friend relationships meaningfully. Therefore, through this study reading therapy will be introduced on schools and help children know themselves, make interaction skills. Based on the result, I would like to give the following proposal. First, as the object of the study is limited on underprivileged regional child care center, it needs to be careful to generalize to all students. So therefore, studies of students with various region, time, and age are needed and must be generalized. Second, we need to verify the effect of the use of reading therapy with e-book which needs more studies and various video materials. Third, if we could create reading therapy program and use it in real school life, I believe that it could bring better educational effects than, discipline and persuasion. Therefore, this study is expected to find out the influence of reading therapy through picture book if it raises self-esteem and friendship or not. And I believe that it could be used as basic material in developing new reading therapy through books.
