다문화 문식성 신장을 위한 텍스트 중심 문법교육 연구

Abstract

1980년대 이후 국제결혼 및 이주 노동자의 유입이 증가하면서 한국사회는 다문 화 사회로 진입하였다. 이에 따라 다문화 가정도 증가하여 이러한 다문화 가정의 학습자를 고려한 적절한 교육 정책이 다각도로 요구되게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 사회적 환경을 고려하고 이를 교육적으로 해결하기 위 하여 다문화 가정 자녀들과 일반 가정 자녀들 모두를 대상으로 다문화 문식성 신 장을 목표로 한 텍스트 중심 문법교육의 교수·학습 방안을 연구하였다. 다문화 문식성은 읽고 쓰기의 기본적 언어 능력을 기반으로 다양한 문화를 긍 정적으로 수용하고, 사회 문제 해결을 위한 실천적인 힘을 의미한다. 이를 신장하 기 위한 방안으로 교수·학습의 중심에 다문화 텍스트를 두고 텍스트 중심 문법교 육을 제안하였다. 텍스트 중심 문법교육은 영역 통합적 교수·학습의 기반을 마련해 주며, 다문화 텍스트를 중심으로 실제 언어 실현 과정을 접함으로써 언어능력과, 사회 문화적 맥락을 고려한 교수·학습으로서 다양한 문화들을 접하고 수용하는 능 력을 신장하는 기능을 지니고 있다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 다문화 문식성 신장을 위한 텍스트 중심 문 법교육의 교수·학습 방안을 체계화하기 위해, '영역 통합적 교수·학습', '교육과정 적합성', '다문화 문식성 신장'의 세 요소를 중점에 둔 선정 기준에 따라 적합한 텍스트를 선정하였다. 그리고 문법 영역을 중심으로 타 영역과의 통합적 지도 내 용을 체계화하며 신장 가능한 다문화 문식성의 요소를 함께 제시하였다. 체계화 된 지도 내용을 실제 다문화 텍스트에 적용하여 수업 내용의 개요를 작성하고 교수·학습 지도안을 구안해 봄으로써 교육의 실제에 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 확 인하여 보았다. 이러한 교수·학습은 다문화 가정을 우리 사회의 구성원으로 인정 하게 하면서 오늘날 직면한 사회 내의 문제점들의 해결과 올바른 다문화 사회 형성에 도움을 줄 것이다.

Since the 1980s as international marriage and an influx of migrant workers have been increased, Korean society became a multicultural society. Because of the fact, a multicultural family also have been increased so that it was required from various angles to make an appropriate education policy that was considered of a learner in this multicultural family. In this study, the social environment which was above mentioned was thought, and teaching and learning method of a Text-based grammar education to boost a multicultural literacy aimed at children in the multicultural family and general family was studied in order to solve it educationally. The 'Multicultural literacy' is based on the basic language skills of reading and writing. In addition, it includes an ability to accommodate diverse cultures in a positive way and a power to solve social problems. As a strategy for extending the 'multicultural literacy', a multicultural text was placed in the center of teaching and learning, and the 'Text-Based Grammar Education' was proposed. The 'Text-Based Grammar Education' establishes a foundation of an 'Area-integrated Teaching and Learning'. At same time, it is possible to grow language skills obtained by contacting the process which realizes an actual language in the multicultural text and an ability to accommodate various cultures obtained in the teaching and learning that takes into account the socio-cultural context. On the basis of the theoretical background, Selection criteria was built in order to organize the 'Methods in the Text-Based Grammar Teaching for Improving Multicultural Literacy'. The selection criteria put emphasis on the 'Area-integrated Teaching and Learning', a 'suitability of the curriculum' and the 'Improving Multicultural Literacy'. Furthermore, a suitable text was selected according to it. Then the 'Area-integrated teaching learning content' was codified on the basis of the grammar area. At the same time, elements of the 'Multicultural Literacy' which can be enhanced were presented together. The teaching learning content that was systematized created an overview for the content of course on a base of the actual 'multicultural text'. And by making a lesson plan of teaching and learning a realizable possibility was verified. This kind of teaching and learning admits to the multicultural family as a member of society. Moreover, it can solve the problems appearing in today's society and help to form a righteous multicultural society.
