A Study on the Culture Tourism Souvenir use of Basalt Texture
Abstract
Jeju is a volcanic island, it is very unique in the world, so it seleted Gloval Geoparks, Biosphere Reserve, World Natural Heritage, in addition has various tourism resources, such Ollle, beach, horse and etc. Balsalt that came from volcanic activity is also Jeju's characteristics and tourism resource. Jeju is contained basalt over the 90%, people use the basalt in their life such as stone fence and Haroobang and this basalt has very unique textures and shapes including air hole. This air holes are looked well in cutting plane using cutting machine these days from buildings and streets. For that reason, this researcher will develop cultural products using basalt texture from its cutting plane.
In other words, this study is aimed that the following contents. The First, this paper is to talk about common and symbolically, anesthetic meanings of in stone and basalt. The second, this paper is to talk about definition and characteristics of tourist culture goods. The third, this paper is talk to about 'patterns design' using basalt's air hale for deepening and expansion of tourist culture goods. At last, Search shell apply to prototype, through the material 10million tourists visited Jeju island but Jeju's Tourist revenue is lower than other spaces. This is maybe because Jeju's development of culture tourism products are backed up. Through this study, I hope to help to development of various culture tourism products and contribute to the Regional Economy Activation by promoting the consumption of the tourists. And it is use to public relations of regional identity.
