초등교사들의 조석현상 이해에 대한 사례연구

Abstract

본 연구는 초등 교사들이 생각하는 '조석현상이 생기는 이유'에 대한 사례 연구를 통하여 초등 교사들이 가지고 있는 오개념을 알아보고자 하는데 목적 이 있다. 이를 위해 2009 개정 교육과정 중 조석 현상과 관련된 교과 내용 분석을 바탕으로 초등 교사들이 가지고 있는 오개념을 확인할 수 있는 질문 지를 개발하였다. 제주도내 초등 교사 8명으로 면담 대상자로 선정하였으며 면담 대상자는 조석현상이 생기는 이유에 대한 질문지를 작성하고, 작성 내 용에 대한 이유를 연구자에게 설명하는 방식으로 진행하였다. 연구자는 면담 대상자의 답변 내용 및 설명내용을 바탕으로 추가 질문을 하여 면담 대상자 가 가지고 있는 생각을 파악하였다. 공통된 오개념을 살펴보면 첫째, 조석현상이 생기는 원인에 대하여 달의 인력만일 것이라는 오개념을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 조석현상에서 태양이 어떤 영향을 주는지 이해하지 못하고 있었다. 셋째, 조석현상의 주기에 대하여 이해하지 못하고 있었다. 2009 개정 교육과정에서는 지구의 자전과 공전, 달의 공전을 통해 일어나 는 현상에 대하여 학습이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 교사는 달의 공 전으로 생기는 현상에 대하여 제대로 이해하지 못하고 있었으며 이는 학습자 에게 오개념을 심어주고 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the misconceptions and alternative concepts of elementary school teachers through qualitative research on the reason why elementary school teachers think about tidal phenomena. For this purpose, I developed a questionnaire to identify the misconceptions and alternative concepts of elementary school teachers through analyzing the contents related to the tide phenomenon in the 2009 revision curriculum. A questionnaire was prepared for 8 elementary school teachers in Jeju Island to explain the reasons for tidal phenomena and explanations were made on the contents of the contents. The researchers were asked to understand the thoughts of the interviewees through additional questions. Looking at the common types of preconceptions First, there was a misconception that the cause of the tidal phenomenon would be the workforce of the moon. Second, there did not understand how the sun affected the tidal phenomena. Third, there did not understand the phenomenon tidal cycle. In the 2009 revised curriculum, learning is taking place about the phenomena that occur through the rotation and revolutions of the Earth and the orbit of the Moon. However, most of the teachers did not understand the phenomenon caused by the lunar orbit, which gave learners misconceptions or alternatives.
