진로지도와 연계한 고등학교 수학Ⅱ 교과서 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 진로 지도와 연계한 수학 수업이 "왜 수학을 배워야 하는가?"에 대한 학생들의 질문에 대해 도움을 줄 것으로 기대하며 현재 학교 수학 수업의 장면에 대한 설문과 교과서에 있는 대학 전공 및 직업에 대한 정보를 분석했다. 이를 통해 학생들의 흥미와 학습동기를 높여 줄 수 있다는 가능성에 대해 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 교사와 학생들이 고등학교 수학 학습을 어떤 생각을 갖고 임하고 있으며 수업시간에 진로지도와 관련된 활동이 이루어지고 있는가? 둘째, 수학Ⅱ 교과서 함수 단원에서 수학교육과 진로교육이 같이 이루어지는 자료에는 어떤 것이 있는가? 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학 수업을 참여하는 이유가 대부분의 교사는 대입 때문에, 학생들은 대입, 수학을 좋아함, 살면서 도움이 됨, 전공과 직접적 연관이 있음과 같은 다양한 응답을 보였다. 둘째, 고등학교에서의 수학 학습이 대학 전공분야 학습에 도움이 된다는 의견에 교사는 90%, 학생은 55% 정도 동의했다. 도움이 되는 이유에는 문제 상황을 인식하고 해결에 있는 의견으로 일치했다. 셋째, 수학 수업에서 학생들은 대학 전공과 직업 정보에 대해 교사들이 소개하지 않는다고 생각하는 편이었고 교사들은 좀 더 적극적으로 관련 정보를 제공해야 할 것이다. 넷째, 수학 교과서 활용에 있어서 내용과 문제 이외의 자료를 활용하는 정도가 낮았다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 단원 마무리 부분에 있는 읽기 자료를 앞으로 배치하여 단원이 들어가기 전에 활용하였으면 한다. 다섯째, 교사들과 학생들은 현재 사용하고 있는 교과서에 대해 만족하지 않았고 교사는 흥미를 높이는 자료가 있었으면 했고 학생들은 많은 유형의 문제제시가 필요하다고 보았다.

This study expects that math classes linked to career guidance will help students answer questions about "Why do we need to learn math?" And I surveyed the scenes of school math classes and analyzed information about college majors and jobs in textbooks. The purpose of this study is to suggest the possibility of enhancing students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics. The following research questions were set up for this purpose. First, what are teachers and students thinking on high school mathematics learning, and are there activities related to career guidance in class? Second, in the mathematicsⅡ textbook function section, what kind of material can be used to combine math and career education? The results of the study are as follows. First, teachers thought that the reason why students participate in mathematics classes is due to university entrance examination. However, apart from getting good score on university entrance examination, students studied mathematics because it is fun, it is helpful in living daily life, and it was directly related to the major. Second, 90% of the teachers and 55% of the students agreed that the mathematics learning in high school was helpful for the study in the major field of the university. Teachers and students responded that it was about recognizing and solving the problem situation. Third, in the mathematics class, students thought that teachers did not introduce the college majors and career information, and teachers should provide information more actively. Fourth, we do not use materials other than principles and problems in mathematics textbooks. To solve this problem, I would like to have the reading material in the final section of the lesson and use it before the lesson. Finally, teachers and students were not satisfied with the current textbooks, teachers wanted interesting data and students asked to present various types of problems.
