고등학생의 개인적인 특성이 도박행동에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구에서는 고등학생들의 개인적인 특성( 스트레스 대처, 비합리적 도박신념, 자기통제력)이 도박행동에 미치는 영향을 환경요인 (도박 접근성, 부모감독)의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 제주도에 위치한 고등학교 재학 중인 1∼3학년 남학생으로 총 569명에 대해 설문을 실시하였고, 이 중에서 불성실한 응답자 53명을 제외하고 516명을 최종적으로 분석하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며 척도의 신뢰도 검사와 빈도분석, 상관관계 분석, 단순회귀분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생의 도박중독 수준을 살펴본 결과, 도박중독 유병율에 해당하는 중위험군과 문제도박군은 55명으로 전체 응답자의 약 10.1%로 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 각 변인 간의 상관관계 분석 결과, 개인적 특성 요인인 스트레스 대처, 자기통제력, 그리고 비합리적 도박신념 모두 도박행동과 유의미한 정적인 상관관계를 나타냈으며, 환경요인 중에 도박 접근성은 도박행동과 유의미한 정적 상관을 그리고 부모감독은 유의미한 부적상관을 보였다. 셋째, 스트레스 하위요인 중 공격적 스트레스 대처요인이 도박행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 자기통제력 하위요인 중 충동성과 모험추구 그리고 화 기질 요인이 도박행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 환경요인의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 환경요인의 하위요인인 도박접근성은 비합리적 도박신념과 도박행동의 관계를 완전 매개하였고, 자기통제력과는 부분 매개역할을 하였으며 환경요인의 하위요인인 부모감독은 자기통제력과 스포츠도박 중독과의 관계에서 부분 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 위의 연구결과는 다음과 같은 실천적 함의를 가질 수 있다. 첫째, 고등학생의 도박행동을 낮추기 위하여 청소년들이 경험하고 있는 환경요인을 차단하기 위한 다각적인 개입이 필요하다. 이를 위해 도박중독 예방강의와 다양한 프로그램의 적용 그리고 문제 위험군에 속한 학생들을 위한 중독 상담을 제안한다. 둘째, 고등학생의 도박행동을 낮추기 위해 부모님의 관심과 감독이 필요하다. 연구의 결과처럼 부모감독이 도박행동에 매개 역할을 하였으므로 부모교육 프로그램을 통해 청소년들을 이해하고 건강한 성인으로 성장할 수 있도록 부모의 조력이 절실히 필요하다는 것을 제안한다. 셋째, 다양한 프로그램의 운영과 개별적인 개입을 효과적으로 수행하기 위해 전문적인 능력을 갖춘 인력을 활용할 필요가 있다. 학교 내의 교사들을 활용할 뿐만 아니라 전문 지식과 기술을 가지고 있는 전문가를 도입하는 것이 보다 효과적이라고 생각한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that are affecting the gambling behaviors of high school students, focusing on the mediating effect of environmental factors. This study was conducted to 569 male students who attend the high school in Jeju. Except 53 questionnaires that are insufficient, 516 questionnaires were used to analyze this study. The collected data were analyzed by operating SPSS 20.0 Window Statistics Program: frequency, Pearson's correlation, simple regression, hierarchical regression. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, there were 55(10.1%) students who had serious problems about the sport gambling addiction. Second, as a result of analyzing Pearson's correlation between factors, irregular gambling belief factor, self-regulation factor, and stress factor affect the gambling behaviors. And the accessibility of the gambling and the regulation of the parents also influence the gambling behaviors. Third, Coping with aggressive stress in the subcategories of stress factors affects the gambling behavior. Fourth, the factors of the impulsiveness and the pursuit of the venture have an effect on the gambling behavior. Fifth, the study shows that the accessibility of the gambling has a mediating effect on relation between the irregular gambling belief factor and the gambling behaviors. And the accessibility of the gambling also has a mediating effect with regard to self-regulation. The regulation of the parents has a mediating effect on the self-regulation and the gambling behaviors. Based on the findings, the study suggests that it is necessary to have understandings about the gambling and therapeutic intervention.
