음악과 연계한 다문화 교육 지도 방안 연구

Abstract

다문화 가정의 증가는 다문화 사회로 급격히 변화하는 우리나라의 모습을 보여준다. 이로 인해 다문화 학생들이 겪는 자신감 저하, 정체성의 혼란 등 심리적, 정서적 문제를 해결 할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 특히 문화 예술을 통한 다문화 교육에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있고, 이에 교육부에서는 다문화 학생들을 위한 다양한 문화 예술 프로그램을 제시하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 전국 18개 다문화 중점학교에서 시행하는 음악과 연계한 다문화 교육 지도 사례를 조사하였다. 현재 제주도 다문화 중점학교에서는 음악과 연계한 다문화 교육 프로그램이 시행되고 있지 않아, 제주도에 거주하는 다문화 가정 자녀들 중심으로 음악 교육에 대한 선호도와 관심도를 조사하여 설문 결과에 따라 음악과 연계한 다문화 교육 지도 방안을 제시하였다. 설문결과 다수가 일반 학생과 함께 음악 교육 프로그램에 참여하고 싶다는 답변을 하였고, 그 외에 음악 교육 프로그램 참여로 인한 사회성 향상, 음악의 생활화에 대한 기대도가 높게 나타났다. 이에 본 연구자는 음악과 연계한 다문화 교육 지도 방안을 가창과 기악 활동으로 제시하였다. 이에 본 연구자는 음악과 연계한 다문화 교육 지도 방안을 2가지 활동으로 제시하였다. 첫째, 가창활동은 서양 음악 교육 중심에서 벗어나 다른 나라의 민요를 접해봄으로써 각 나라 대한 서로 다른 관심과 신념, 가치를 이해할 수 있게 한다. 둘째, 기악활동은 우리나라의 민족성과 전통문화를 통합적으로 이해할 수 있도록 사물놀이 제시하였다. 음악은 사회와 문화를 이해할 수 있는 도구이다. 다른 나라 문화에 쉽게 적응할 수 있도록 음악과 연계한 다문화 교육 프로그램에 대한 더 많은 연구가 필요하다.

Increasing numbers of multicultural families shows that Korea has become a multicultural society. Due to such recent changes, the necessity of the various programs for the multicultural students who have the psychological and emotional problems such as self-doubt and identity crisis is highlighted. As a result, interest in Culture & Arts Education for the multicultural students is rising. Ministry presented Culture & Arts Education Programs for the students. The researcher surveyed 18 Multi-culturally targeted schools about Multicultural Education Teaching Examples related to music. There is currently no Multicultural Education Teaching Program related to music which is being implemented in Multi-culturally targeted school in Jeju. The teaching ideas are proposed by researching the students' preference and interest in Music in Jeju. The result of the survey show that most students hope to participate in the music learning programs with fellow students. Moreover, the students also expect to improve their socialization and to utilize music skills in their daily life by participating in the programs. According to the analysis of the survey, the researcher present two musical activities on Multicultural Education Teaching Plan. First, 'Singing' helps the students to know the importance of the community. It can improve their socialization and friendship. It can also establish students' national identity and allow the students to understand the culture by learning the national folk song. Second, 'Instrumental Music' promote responsibility and teamwork. The activity playing Korean traditional musical instruments offers opportunities for understanding the culture. Music is a tool for understanding society and culture. Therefore, More studies on Multicultural Education Teaching Program related to music are needed to adapt easily to other countries' cultures.
