松江 詩歌文學의 理念과 山水觀

Abstract

松江의 詩歌文學은 그 문학적 우수성을 인정받아 현대에 이르기까지 많은 찬사를 받아 왔으며, 지금도 연구가 계속되고 있을 만큼 중요한 가치를 지녔다. 송강의 시가문학은 전반적으로 山水를 배경으로 하는데, 이는 그가 산수를 미적인 대상으로 인식하는 의식과 감상의 태도를 반영하고 있기 때문으로 이른바 山水文學的 경향이 강하다고 할 수 있다. 그리고 당시 유교 사회를 살아갔던 송강은 문학 작품 속에 유교 사상을 배경으로 하여 자신의 의식을 담고 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 송강의 시가문학 작품을 통해 그의 理念的 特性이 어떻게 表象 되었는지 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 작품을 美學的 관점으로 바라보아 그의 美意識이 어떠한 면모로 예술적 형상화를 이루고 있는지를 분석하여, 문학 작품 속에 나타나는 송강의 山水觀을 알아보고자 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그 내용을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유교 사상을 배경으로 한 經國濟民의 이념이다. 송강은 조선 사대부로서 벼슬에서 물러나 산수생활을 하는 상황에서도 그의 본심은 經國濟民의 실현에 있었으며, 이와 같은 모습은 작품 전반에 걸쳐 드러나 있다. 또한 그는 산수를 감상하며 景物에 자신의 美意識을 담아 經國濟民의 이념을 표현하기도 하였다. 그리고 송강은 進退辭穗와 歸去來의 삶을 통하여 임금과 떨어져 있을 때면 어김없이 임금을 그리워하는 戀君之情의 이념을 문학 작품으로 드러내고 있다. 특히 '달·별·매화' 등의 山水景物을 소재로 하고, 山水景物의 감상을 통해 자신의 戀君意識을 형상화 하고 있다. 또한 孝를 經國濟民의 이상세계로 보고자 하였을 만큼 그는 孝라는 倫理意識을 중요시했으며, 정치적 혼란기와 전란의 상황을 통해 나라와 임금을 걱정하는 憂國衷情의 이념을 작품 전반에 걸쳐 드러내고 있다. 둘째, 송강의 山水遊賞이다. 山水遊賞은 특히 ｢關東別曲｣에 잘 나타내어져 있는데, 송강은 관동팔경을 유람하며 山水景物을 단순한 외형적 속성에서 벗어나 아름다움의 대상으로 인식하고 자신의 美意識을 투영시킴으로써 산수의 내용미를 발견하고 있다. 그리고 ｢星山別曲｣에서 성산의 景物을 감상하며 대자연의 이치를 깨닫고, 자연을 벗 삼아 노니는 즐거움, 즉 山水閑情의 모습을 보이고 있으며, ｢思美人曲｣에서는 山水隱遁의 고독한 생활 속에서도 山水景物의 변화를 지켜보며 자연을 意味存在로 인식하고, 山水美를 발견해내고 있다. 나아가 산수를 정치적으로 소외된 공간이 아닌 自己省察의 공간으로 보고 있다. 셋째, 송강의 山水美와 山水觀이다. 그는 山水景物을 玩賞함과 동시에 人工 가미되지 않는 원초적인 대자연과 自然合一의 경지를 추구하고, 자연과 동화되고자하는 山水親和의 소망을 나타내고 있다. 그리고 송강은 仙境에 대한 묘사를 통해 궁극의 진리인 '道'를 깨우치고자 노력하는 정신세계의 境界를 表象하고 있으며, 산수와 술·음악의 조화로움 속에서 구체적 행위를 통해 미적인 체험과 즐거움이라는 감성의 영역인 風流의 모습을 보이고 있다. 나아가 그의 山水境界는 자연의 이치를 탐구하여 자신의 내면을 비추는 공간을 상징한다.

Songgang's poetry is recognized for its literary excellence and has received a lot of praise. The study of his work has been continued to the present day, which tells us that it is still of a significant value. Songgang's poetry is based on mountains and water at its core. This is because he reflected an attitude of consciousness and appreciation, perceiving a scenery as an aesthetic object, so it can be said that there is a strong tendency towards scenic literature. Songgang, who lived in the Confucian society at that time, shows his own consciousness and ideals in his literary works based on the Confucian ideas. Therefore, this study plans to see how his ideological characteristics are expressed through his poetic literature. In addition, the purpose of this paper is to examine the view of a landscape of Songgang by looking at the works from aesthetic point of view and analyzing how he shaped his aesthetic consciousness artistically. The summary is as follows. First, there is the ideology of Gyeongguk Jemin (to take charge of the country and save the people). Songgang, as a nobleman of the Joseon Dynasty, resigned from an office and lived in harmony with the surrounding landscapes and natural world. In this situation, he kept the realization of Gyeongguk Jemin in mind, which is revealed throughout his works. He appreciated landscapes and expressed the ideology of Gyeongguk Jemin by containing his aesthetic consciousness in the scenery of each changing season. When he was away from the king, he showed the ideology of Yeonggun Jijeong which means to miss the king without fail in his literary works through the life of Jintoe Sasu (to resign and remain in office) and Gwi Georae (to withdraw his public post and return to his hometown). In particular, he used natural features such as the moon, stars and plum blossom as themes, and embodied his longing for the king through enjoying the scenic beauty. In addition, he put emphasis on a sense of ethics or filial duty, considering that he tried to see filial duty as an ideal world of Gyeongguk Jemin. Through the experience of going through political chaos and suffering war, he revealed Uguk Chungjeong (patriotic sentiment) in his works, worrying about the country and the king. Second, it is Songgang's Sansu Yusang (to take a stroll and see the views surrounding him). This is well found in Gwandong Byeolgok (the song of the sceneries of the Gwandong district). Songgang went sightseeing throughout Gwandong Palgyeong (the eight famous spots in Gwandong) and he perceived the sceneries as objects of beauty beyond mere external appearance. Then he found content beauty of the sceneries by projecting his aesthetic sense. In his work, Seongsan Byeolgok, he admires the scenery of Seongsan, realizes the reasons of Mother Nature, and reveals his carefree feelings on the scenic beauty which is the pleasure of rambling and enjoying nature. In his work, Samiingok (song of longing for the king, song about a woman who misses her dead husband), he finds scenic attractions by perceiving nature as the meaning of existence after observing a change of a landscape during his solitary and sequestered life. Furthermore, he sees natural beauty as a place that inspires us for self-reflection and is not isolated one from the political world. Third, it is about Songgang's beauty and the view of a landscape. Enjoying the beautiful landscape, he seeks to be united with pure Mother Nature and expresses his desire to assimilate with nature. With the description of a fairyland, he represents the boundary of ones mental world in an effort to realize an ultimate truth so called 'Do (enlightenment)'. Through detailed activities in harmony with a landscape, alcohol and music, he shows a taste for the arts which shows a scope of sensitivity, an aesthetic immersion experience and pleasure. His landscape boundary symbolizes room for researching the reasons of nature and shining his own inner nature.
