중학생이 지각한 학업성취압력이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 중학생이 지각한 학업성취압력, 학교생활 적응, 사회적 지지 간의 관계 분석을 통해 서로 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴 보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이 러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 첫째 중학생이 지각한 학업성취압력과 사회적 지지는 학교생활 적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지, 둘째 중학생이 지각한 부모의 학업성취압력과 학교생활 적응의 관계에서 사회적 지지는 매개 효과를 가지고 있는지에 대해 살펴 보았다. 연구대상은 제주특별자치도내 중학교에 재학중인 중학생 328명을 대상으로 하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 다음과 같은 방법으로 분석하였다. 조사대상자의 인구통계학적 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도분석을 실시하였고, 측 정 변인들의 기술통계를 살펴보기 위해 평균, 표준편차를 산출하였다. 연구에서 사용된 각 척도의 신뢰도를 검증하기 위해 신뢰도 계수를 산출하였으며, 주요 변 인인 학업성취압력과 학교생활 적응, 사회적 지지 간의 관계를 알아보기 위해 Pearson의 상관분석을 하였다. 중학생의 학업성취압력과 학교생활 적응의 관계에 서 사회적 지지의 매개 효과를 알아보기 위해 Baron과 Kenny(1986)가 제안한 방법에 따라 3단계 중다회귀분석을 사용해 확인하였다. 또 매개 효과의 유의미성 검증을 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 바탕으로 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 학업성취압력, 학교생활 적응, 사회적 지지의 상관관계를 알아본 결과 부모의 학업성취압력은 사회적 지지와 유의미한 부적 상관을 보였다. 사회 적 지지와 학교생활 적응 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 학업성취압력과 사회적 지지는 학교생활 적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 학업성취압력은 학교생활 적응에 유의미한 부적 영향 을 미쳤으며 사회적 지지는 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 부모의 학업성취압력을 높게 지각하면 부정적 정서가 발생하여 학교생활 적응에 어려움이 생기고 사회적 지지가 높을수록 학교생활 적응을 잘 할 수 있다는 것 을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 중학생이 지각하는 부모의 학업성취압력이 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향 에서 사회적 지지가 완전매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 사회적 지지가 학업성 취압력과 학교생활 적응과의 관계에서 아주 큰 영향을 끼친다는 것을 나타낸다. 따라서 이상의 연구결과에서 원만한 학교생활 그리고 교사 혹은 친구들과의 관계를 어떻게 받아들이고 관계를 갖느냐가 학교생활 적응에 커다란 영향을 준 다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이 결과를 토대로 학교 현장에서 학교생활 적응에 어려 움을 겪고 있는 학생들을 위해 친구들과의 바람직한 관계 형성, 교사와의 원활한 의사소통 등을 통한 사회적 지지를 높일 수 있도록 힘쓰는 한편, 부모들과 소통 할 수 있는 프로그램 개발에 지속적인 노력이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of middle school students on their academic achievement pressure, school life adaptation, and social support. In order to achieve this research purpose, first, how the academic achievement pressure and social support perceived by middle school students affect school life adaptation, and second, the mediating effect of social support in the relationship between parents' academic achievement pressure and school life adaptation perceived by middle school students I looked at whether it has. The study targeted 328 middle school students attending middle school in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 18.0 as follows. Frequency analysis was performed to examine the demographic characteristics of the survey subjects, and mean and standard deviation were calculated to examine the technical statistics of the measured variables. In order to verify the reliability of each scale used in the study, a reliability coefficient was calculated, and Pearson's correlation analysis was performed to examine the relationship between academic achievement pressure, school adjustment, and social support, which are the main variables. In order to examine the mediating effect of social support in the relationship between academic achievement pressure and adjustment to school life of middle school students, it was confirmed using hierarchical regression analysis. Also, Sobel test was conducted to verify the significance of the mediating effect. Based on the analysis results of this study, the results are summarized as follows. First, as a result of examining the correlation between parents' academic achievement pressure, school life adjustment, and social support, the parents' academic achievement pressure showed a significant negative correlation with social support. There was a significant positive correlation between social support and school life adjustment. Second, parents' academic achievement pressure and social support had a significant effect on school life adaptation, and academic achievement pressure had a significant negative effect on school adaptation and social support had a significant static effect. . In other words, it can be seen that if the parents' perception of academic achievement pressure is high, negative emotions arise, making it difficult to adapt to school life, and the higher the social support, the better the adaptation to school life. Third, social support mediates the relationship between parents' academic achievement pressure and middle school students' adjustment to school life. This indicates that social support has a great influence on the relationship between academic achievement pressure and adjustment to school life. Therefore, it was confirmed from the above study results that the effect of how to perceive the academic achievement pressure of parents is negligible on how to accept and have a relationship with a smooth school life and teachers or friends. Based on these results, we are striving to increase social support through the formation of desirable relationships with friends, smooth communication with teachers, etc. for students who are having difficulty adjusting to school life at the school site, and to communicate with parents. Continued efforts are required to develop an existing program.
