청소년 도박의 국내 연구동향 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 불법도박과 스마트폰 대중화로 청소년 도박은 중독만 아니라 2차 범죄에 이르기까지 여러 가지 사회적 문제를 야기하고 있지만, 그 동안 청소년 도박에 대한 학위논문과 학술논문을 통합적으로 분석한 연구 동향은 드물었으며 따라서 본 연구를 위해서 2003년부터 2020년 3월까지 국내에서 발표한 학위논문 52편과 학술논문 86편, 연구보고서 3편 등 총 141편의 연구물 모두를 통합하여 분석하고자 한다. 또한 질적연구 뿐만아니라 치료 및 개입 영역까지 분석범위를 확대하여 향후 연구에 보다 풍부한 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

이를 위해 청소년 도박과 관련된 모든 논문을 대상으로 논문 발표 연도별, 연구자 소속분야, 연구대상자, 주제와 연구 목적, 하위 유형, 변인별 등 10가지 분석 유형을 중심으로 하여 백분율과 빈도로 산출하는 통계 처리 방식에 따라 경향성을 살펴보았는데 그 주요 내용은 다음과 같다.

첫째, 청소년 도박을 연구 주제로 한 연도별 논문 발표 현황은 2003년부터는 연 평균 4.08편이 발표되다, 2015년 이후부터는 연 평균 15.3편으로 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다.

둘째, 청소년 도박에 대한 주제는 학위논문에서는 대부분 '도박행동'을 주제로 영향요인을 확인하는 연구가 절반이 넘었다. 그러나 학술논문은 연구 주제가 도박, 도박경험, 도박중독 등으로 다양하였고, 연구 유형도 영향요인이나 인과관계에 그치지 않고 예방과 개입, 구조와 차이, 탐색이나 대응, 척도개발 등 다양하게 연구되는 경향성을 보이고 있다.

셋째, 청소년 도박의 주요한 요인으로 비합리적 도박신념이나 스트레스, 우울 및 불안 등이 언급되었으며, 연구자 소속 분야로 학위논문은 상담심리학과가, 학술논문에서는 복합학이 많았다. 그리고 연구 대상으로는 대학생을 중심으로 하는 연구가 많았다.

넷째, 연구 방법에는 양적연구가 대부분이며 분석방법으로 빈도분석부터 아노바분석에 이르기까지 다양한 통계 기법으로 상관관계와 인과관계를 탐색함으로써 지식확대와 개념적 준거의 틀을 형성하는데 많은 연구 발전이 이루어지고 있었다.

이러한 연구결과들을 종합해 볼 때 청소년 도박이 스마트폰이나 게임중독과 결합되어 나타나거나 청소년을 둘러싼 가족, 학교, 사회 등 여러 가지 환경요인과 개인요인이 복합적인 결과로 나타나고 있어서 연구의 방향도 인접학문의 개념이나 이론을 접목하고 개발하는 대응노력이 필요하다.

그리고 청소년 도박에 대한 양적 연구 성장에 못지 않게 경험이 바탕이 되는 질적 연구가 균형적으로 발전하고 다양한 경험적 연구 이론을 축적해나가야 할 것으로 보이고 더 나아가 혼합연구가 가미되는 연구 발전이 이루어 질 수 있도록 학계의 노력의 필요하다. 또한 도박 예방 교육을 위한 조례 제정 등의 정책과 상담 기술의 변화에 따라 실천학문으로서의 사회복지학이 치료 개입에 대한 모형과 사례 연구, 척도와 프로그램 뿐만 아니라 임상적 이론과 연구 방법론을 개발하는 노력이 함께 이루어지길 기대한다.

Juvenile gambling is causing various social problems until second offenses as well as gambling addiction due to illegal gambling and smartphone popularization, however, the study integrally analyzing the theses and scientific treatises about juvenile gambling have been uncommon until so far. Therefore, in this study, totally 141 cases of research results such as 52 cases of theses, 86 cases of scientific treatises and 3 cases of research report which have been published from 2003 to Mar. 2020 would be integrally analyzed. Also, expand the analysis range until the treatment and intervention area as well as qualitative study, and provides richer information to future studies. For this purpose, the trend is examined according to the statistical processing method calculating centering 10 kinds of analysis type such as each thesis publication year, affiliated field of researcher, study participants, subject and purpose of the study, subordinating type and each variable targeting all the theses related with the juvenile gabling and the major contents of them are as follows. Firstly, average 4.08 cases of theses with the study subject as juvenile gambling have been published per year since 2003 and have been increased as 15.3 cases per year after 2015. Secondly, in case of the theses having the subject of juvenile gambling, the study to check the influencing factor as the 'gambling action' is more than half. However, in case of the scientific treatises, the subject of study is various such as gambling, gambling experience, gambling addiction and so on and the study type shows the trend that it is not limited as only in the influencing factor or cause and effect relationship but also expanded as prevention and intervention, structure and difference, scale development and so on. Thirdly, irrational gambling belief, stress, depression and anxiety have been stated as the major cause of juvenile gambling, and the Dept. of Counseling Psychology is a lot in theses and the Interdisciplinary Science is a lot in scientific treatises in the affiliated field of researcher. And the studies centering the University students is a lot in the study participants. Fourthly, quantitative study is the great part in the study method and lots of study development to expand the knowledge and forming outline of the conceptual standard has been made by searching the correlation and cause and effect relationship with various statistics method from frequency analysis to ANOVA analysis. Summarizing these study results, the juvenile gambling is appeared as the combination with the smartphone or gambling addiction or appeared as a combined result with several environmental factors such as family, school, society and so on surrounding the teenager and individual factors, so the correspondence effort to graft the concept or theory of the related studies is necessary in the direction of the study. And then, the qualitative study for the juvenile gambling which the experience can be the base as much as the quantitative study growth should - 93 - be developed and various experimental study theories should be accumulated and furthermore, the effort of the academic world to achieve the study development added the mixed method study is necessary. Also, it is expected the social welfare science as a practical study accomplishing the effect to develop clinical theory and study method as well as the study, criterion and program for the model and case to interfere the treatment according to the change of the policy such as the establishment of regulation and consulting technology.
