『你呢貴姓』의 音韻 硏究

Abstract

This research looks into the special characteristics of the phonemes that are found in the Nǐneguìxìng which is an old Chinese studybook. The 『Nǐneguìxìng(你呢貴姓)』 does not have a preface nor a postscript so there is no information about the compiler or the purpose of how or why the book was put together. However, what is known about the Nǐneguìxìng is that it was compiled during the latter stage of the Joseon Dynasty by a civilian as a book for studying Chinese. The purpose of this research paper is to look into the phoneme structure in the Nǐneguìxìng through a complete enumeration survey regarding the word examples contained within it. Some previous researches done about the Nǐneguìxìng asserts that the special characteristics of the phoneme reflected in the book belongs to the northeastern dialect. However, there are no specific researches about just which region within the northeastern region that it belongs to. The range of the northeastern region includes many regions from the Liáoníngshěng district to inner Mongolia and the special characteristics of the dialect for each region varies greatly in detail. The people that appear in the actual text of the Nǐneguìxìng are Mr. Choi who is a Joseon national and Mr. Wang who is from Liáodōng (遼東). Liáodōng is an area which has become Liáoníngshěng (遼寧省) today. Based on this fact, the special characteristics of the phonemes in the Nǐneguìxìng were compared and studied with the special characteristics of the Liáoníngshěng area within the scope of this paper. Through that comparative study, a more detailed research was conducted in terms of how much the Nǐneguìxìng is reflecting the Liáoníngshěng dialect. The end results show that the special characteristics of the phoneme reflected in the Nǐneguìxìng were found to be mainly based on the Chinese Liáoníngshěng dialect while the northeastern dialect were also mixed in at the same time.
