중학교 음악① 교과 수업을 위한 학습 지도안 연구 – 슈베르트의 예술가곡 중심으로

Abstract

교육부는 2015년 9월 ‘창의·융합형 인재 양성’에 목표를 두고 미래 사회에 적합한 핵심역량 6가지를 제시하였다. 음악교육에서는 이러한 역량을 바탕으로 학습자의 음악적 정서 함양 및 창의성 계발과 더불어 타 교과와 연계하여 학습하는 통합교육을 강조하였다. 이러한 취지에 맞게 중학교 음악① 교과서 14종에는 공통으로 문학과 음악을 결합한 장르인 예술가곡(Lied)이 수록되어있다. 시와 음악을 결합한 예술가곡을 배움으로써 학습자는 ‘시’를 통해 얻어지는 문학적 가치와 서정적인 음악적 가치를 동시에 느낄 수 있으며, 단순 노래 부르기 중심의 획일적인 교육에서 벗어나 문학과 음악의 융합적 방식을 통해 음악뿐만 아니라 문학에 대한 시각까지 넓힐 수 있는 학습 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 이러한 취지를 반영하여 본 논문에서는 문학과 음악의 융합적인 방식을 활용한 예술가곡 수업 지도방안을 제시하고자 한다. 지도안 개발을 위하여 먼저 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정을 살펴보고 이에 따른 중학교 음악① 교과서 14종에 공통으로 수록된 예술가곡을 분석하였으며, 예술가곡에 대한 이해도를 높이기 위해 정의, 음악적 특징, 교육적 효과에 관하여 연구하였다. 이를 바탕으로 중학교 음악① 교과서 14종 중 빈도수가 가장 높은 슈베르트(Franz Peter Schubert, 1797-1828)의 예술가곡 ‘마왕(Erlkȍnig)’과 ‘들장미(Heidenroslein)’를 제재곡으로 선정하였다. 슈베르트가 작곡한 예술가곡 ‘마왕’은 괴테(Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 1749-1831)의 ‘마왕’시를 인용하여 통절형식으로 작곡된 가곡이며, 등장인물의 성격과 음악적 특징이 분명하게 나타나 있어 학습자는 시의 내용을 바탕으로 등장인물의 성격을 다방면으로 자유롭게 표현할 수 있다. 이러한 장점을 활용하여 음악과 연극의 요소를 결합한 음악극 중심의 수업지도안이 개발되었다. 슈베르트가 작곡한 예술가곡 ‘들장미’는 괴테의 ‘들장미’시를 인용하여 ‘마왕’과 달리 같은 선율에 가사만 다르게 되풀이되는 음악적 특징을 가지고 있어 따라부르기가 쉽다. 단순성을 가진 가곡 ‘들장미’는 가사를 창작하는 활동이 가능하며, 이는 학습자의 창의성을 높여줄 뿐만 아니라 예술가곡을 심층적으로 이해할 수 있는 계기를 마련하기에 ‘가사·창작 활동’에 중점을 두고 수업지도안이 개발되었다. 현 교육과정을 기반으로 구상한 예술가곡 지도안을 통하여 학습자가 음악과 문학의 연계학습을 배움으로써 잠재적인 음악성과 창의성을 발현시킬 수 있고 학습자의 음악적 정서 함양에 도움이 되고자 하는 바람이다.|In September 2015, the Ministry of Education presented six core competencies suitable for the future society focusing on the goal of 'Creative and Convergent Talented Persons Education.' Based on these competencies, music education emphasized integrated education that allows learning in connection with other subjects as well as cultivating learners' musical emotions and developing creativity. In compliance with this purpose, 14 types of middle school music ① textbooks commonly contain lieder, a combined genre of literature and music. By learning the lied that combines poetry and music, learners can feel the literary value through ‘poetry’ and the lyrical musical value simultaneously, and further increase the learning effect by deviating the uniform education centered on simple singing and expanding their perspective on not only music but also literature through a convergence method of literature and music. Reflecting this purpose, this study intends to present a teaching and learning plan for guiding lied classes using a convergent method of literature and music. In order to develop the guidance plan, the revised music curriculum in 2015 was first examined, and the lieder which commonly included in 14 middle school music ① textbooks were analyzed, and the definition of the lieder, musical characteristics, and educational effects were studied to enhance general understanding of the lieder. Based on this, the most frequently used lieder in the textbooks were Schubert’s 'Erlkȍnig' and 'Heidenroslein', and the works were selected as musical pieces among the 14 middle school music ① textbooks. The lied, 'Erlkȍnig,' composed by Schubert, is a song written in a through-composed form by quoting the poem of Goethe (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 1749-1831), 'Erlkȍnig,' which clearly shows the character's personality and musical features allowing learners to freely express the character's personality in various ways based on the content of the poem. With these advantages utilized, a musical drama-oriented teaching plan that combines the elements of music and drama. The lied, 'Heidenroslein' composed by Schubert is a song written in the strophic form, citing Goethe's poem 'Heidenroslein.' Unlike 'Erlkȍnig,' it is easy to sing along because the lyrics are repeated differently with the same melody. The lied, 'Heidenroslein' can require the activity to create lyrics, which not only enhances learners' creativity but also provides an opportunity to understand lieder in depth, so the teaching plan was developed focusing on the 'lyrics and creative activity.' Through the lied teaching plan devised based on the current curriculum, I hope that learners can express potential musicality and creativity by learning interdisciplinary learning of music and literature, and that it will help cultivate learners' musical emotions.
