미술 교과와 연계한 음악감상수업 지도 방안

Abstract

본 논문은 음악 교과 수업에 있어서 단편적인 교과 지식 전달이 아닌 학생들에게 흥미를 유발하고 효율적인 음악 감상 수업이 될 수 있도록 미술과 연계한 음악감상수업지도안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 논문의 수업지도안에서는 인상주의와 표현주의의 음악을 같은 사조의 미술 작품과 연계하였다. 인상주의와 표현주의 음악이 탄생했던 때의 시대적 상황은 산업혁명과 전쟁으로 인하여 많은 변화가 일어나고 사람들에게 혼란을 야기하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그 시대의 예술가들은 전통적인 형식에서 벗어나 자신들만의 색깔로 새로운 양식을 구축하여 그 이전에 어느 시대의 음악보다도 창조적이고 혁신적인 작품들을 탄생시켰다. 이러한 인상주의와 표현주의 예술가들의 창의적인 면모는 급속도로 변화하는 오늘날의 현대사회를 살아가는 우리에게도 높은 가치가 있는 태도이다. 오늘날 방대한 지식 속에 살고 있는 우리에게 사회는 창의·융합적인 인재를 요구하고 있고 그러한 능력을 배양하기 위한 그 기반은 통합적 사고에서 시작될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 미술과 연계한 음악 수업을 위하여 포가티(Fogarty)와 드레이크(Drake)의 통합교육 모형을 이론적 배경에 두고 선행논문 고찰로 그 근거를 마련하였다. 인상주의와 표현주의의 음악은 같은 사조의 미술과 연관된 요소가 작품 곳곳에 드러나 있기에 음악과 미술을 함께 학습할 때 학생들의 이해를 흥미롭고 효율적으로 도울 것이다. 본 논문은 선행논문들에서 인상주의와 표현주의로 차시를 각각 나누어 다룬 것과는 달리 1차시와 2차시 모두 한 차시 안에 인상주의와 표현주의 예술 사조를 함께 다룬 수업지도안을 제시하였다. 이는 두 사조의 작품에서 시청각적으로 느껴지는 극명한 대비를 통하여 즉각적으로 작품이 가지는 특징의 비교가 가능하게 하여 학생들에게 빠른 이해와 폭넓은 학습에 많은 도움이 될 것이다. 1차시에서는 인상주의와 표현주의 예술 사조의 특징을 비교하고 두 예술 사조의 음악과 같은 사조의 미술 작품과의 연관성에 대한 이해를 학습 내용으로 구성하였다. 2차시에서는 1차시에서 큰 맥락으로 학습한 내용에서 발전시켜 인상주의와 표현주의 각 사조의 음악과 미술의 기법적 특징을 알고 그 기법적 특징의 연관성에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 하여 학생들이 음악, 미술적 창작 활동을 할 수 있는 심화 학습으로 구성하였다. 학습의 이해를 높이기 위하여 차시마다 활동지에 개인의 생각을 묻고 작성한 것을 토대로 다른 학생들의 생각을 공유·비교해 볼 수 있도록 하였고 모둠별 창작 활동을 구성하였다. 본 연구 내용을 통하여 학생들에게 단편화된 지식을 종합적으로 이해하도록 함으로써 범위가 넓은 내용을 효율적이고 효과적으로 학습할 수 있는 경험을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 학교 교육현장에서 효과적인 수업지도안으로써의 활용을 기대하며, 학생들의 창의적 능력과 통합적인 사고 능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 지도 방안이 될 것이다.| This study aims to propose an innovative, comprehensive lesson plan for music education. Moving beyond the conventional delivery of compartmentalized knowledge, it incorporates art to spark student interest and enhance the music appreciation experience. Within the purview of the proposed pedagogical framework, music from the Impressionist and Expressionist periods is integrated with art pieces from analogous movements. The eras of Impressionism and Expressionism were marked by substantial sociocultural shifts catalyzed by the industrial revolution and various wars, leading to a state of public disarray. Notwithstanding these challenges, artists from these periods revolutionized traditional artistic forms and paradigms, forging unique and innovative styles that birthed exceedingly creative and groundbreaking works. The creative aspects demonstrated by Impressionist and Expressionist artists is of high relevance to contemporary society, which is undergoing rapid transformations. In today's knowledge-saturated world, there is a growing demand for individuals who exhibit creativity and convergence. The cultivation of such skills necessitates an underpinning of integrated thinking. Within the context of this study, the integrated educational models posited by Fogarty and Drake have been adopted as the theoretical framework for designing music classes that interface with art. The rationale for this approach has been constructed through an extensive review of preceding literature. Since Impressionist and Expressionist music inherently incorporates elements linked to concurrent art movements, joint exploration of music and art can promote enriched and efficient comprehension among students. Diverging from previous studies that segregate sessions into distinct Impressionist and Expressionist modules, this research proposes a lesson plan that simultaneously addresses both artistic movements within a single session. This pedagogical design facilitates immediate comparison of artistic characteristics, courtesy of the stark contrast observable in works from these two styles. This approach is likely to contribute significantly to rapid understanding and wide-ranging learning experiences. The first session entails a comparative study of Impressionist and Expressionist art forms, focusing on the correlation between music and art pieces from the same era. Building on this foundation, the second session advances to incorporate creative activities based on the technical features and relevance of music and art from both movements. To augment comprehension, worksheets are designed to elicit personal reflections from each student, and collaborative group activities are structured to allow sharing and comparison of ideas. This research provides students an opportunity to learn from an integrated perspective, thereby enhancing their understanding of a broad range of topics. This proposed lesson plan is anticipated to be an effective tool in the educational field, fostering creativity and integrative thinking skills in students.
