A Study on the Interface for Electrical Supply based on Triboelectric Generation
Abstract
Recently, research on energy harvesting has been actively conducted.Energy harvesting converts energy wasted in everyday life into electricalenergy. There are various types of energy harvesting, such as piezoelectric,triboelectric, and solar cells. Among them, energy harvesting usingtriboelectric can be miniaturized and flexible and wearable. So, it is usefullyused in various fields. However, the nanogenerator using triboelectric has adisadvantage in energy efficiency. The output power is low due to the lowcurrent density of the triboelectric nanogenerator, and the friction area mustbe large in order to increase energy generation efficiency. In this case, thereis a limit to the use of triboelectric nanogenerators. In order to solve theseproblems and increase the efficiency of energy generation, a mechanicalfrequency rise conversion is proposed.A violin or guitar string is used to perform mechanical frequencyconversion. The mechanical frequency rise transformation gives the string alot of vibration in one movement. This method results for a rising conversionfrom low frequency to high frequency. Then, a battery charging simulation isperformed using the frequency rise conversion. Through the battery chargingsimulation, check the increase in battery charging efficiency when thefrequency is high compared to the low frequency.
