텍스트 데이터 라벨링 기반 머신러닝 교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용

Abstract

This study developed and applied the text data labeling-based Machine Learning education program, as an educational method to improve the computational thinking of elementary school students, and then, verified its effectiveness. To develop the educational program, for 100 elementary school teachers in Jeju Island, their needs and requirements were analyzed in advance and based on such results, the program was designed and developed. In the developed educational program, 12 sessions were held for 6 weeks, targeting 17 male and female students enrolled in the 6th grade of the elementary school. The effectiveness of the program was verified in the following ways; the pre- and post-tests were conducted using 'Bebras Challenge' and 'Computational Cognition Test Type A and B' in order to analyze the educational effects. Such analyses showed that Machine Learning education focused on data labeling contributed to the improvement of elementary school students' computational thinking.

본 연구는 초등학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력을 향상하기 위한 교육 방법으로 텍스트 데이터를 활용한 데이터 라벨링 중심의 머신러닝 교육 프로그램을 개발하여 적용한 후 그 효과를 검증하였다. 교육 프로그램 개발을 위해 제주도 초등학교 교사 100명을 대상으로 사전 요구 분석을 진행하였고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 교육 설계 및 개발을 진행하였다. 개발한 교육 프로그램은 초등학교 6학년에 재학 중인 17명의 남녀 학생을 대상으로 6주간 12차시의 교육을 진행하였다. 해당 교육의 효과성을 검증하기 위해 '비버 챌린지(Bebras Challenge)'와 '계산적 인지력 검사(Computational Cognition Test) A, B형'을 활용하여 사전 사후 검사를 진행하여 교육적 효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 데이터 라벨링 중심의 머신러닝 교육이 초등학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력 향상에 이바지한 것으로 나타났다.
